The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 690
Kieran couldn’t make sense of it—why Celeste seemed to have a good relationship with Lincoln, yet showed no personal connection with Trevor.
Then again, he had heard that the Yoder and Fleming families also had ties, yet Matthias and Trevor barely interacted outside of work.
With that in mind, Kieran chose not to dwell on it further.
The next day, Beck came to YodaVision to discuss a new round of collaboration. As before, Celeste was the one who received him.
He looked at her. “Long time no see.”
It hadn’t actually been that long—they had met not long ago, before Shanice returned to school.
But since he put it that way, Celeste didn’t correct him. She simply nodded. “Long time no see.”
When Kieran heard Beck had come, he had intended to drop by and join them, but he was too busy to get away.
By the time the discussion was nearly over, Beck suggested they have a meal together. Celeste agreed.
At the restaurant, after talking about other matters for a while, Beck suddenly said, “I heard Mr. and Mrs. Fleming… have finally agreed to their relationship.”
Caught off guard by the abrupt shift, Celeste paused for a moment before understanding what he meant. Her expression remained calm as she nodded.
Queenie and Lincoln had always cared deeply about family background and reputation. For them to suddenly relent, it was likely because Wynn had risked her life to save Trevor.
But none of that had anything to do with her anymore.
Still, with their approval, the divorce would likely go through smoothly this time.
…
After the meal, as they were leaving, they ran into Harvey, Lilian, and their group.
Harvey smiled. “Beck, what a coincidence.”
Beck nodded politely. “Mr. Locket, Mrs. Locket.”
They acknowledged him with a nod, but their gazes shifted to Celeste.
Celeste acted as if she hadn’t seen them at all. Turning to Beck, she said, “Mr. Harper, I have something to take care of, so I’ll head off first. If there are any issues with the collaboration, we can arrange another time to discuss them in detail.”
Beck smiled faintly. “Alright.”
Celeste nodded and walked away, treating the others as though they didn’t exist.
The instant coldness that flickered through her eyes when she saw the Lockets and Shaws—and the way she made no effort to conceal it—did not escape Beck’s notice.
He had long known there was conflict between her and Wynn, but her complete indifference toward those families still surprised him.
Everyone at YodaVision had been extremely busy lately, but things had finally eased.
That evening, Matthias treated the team to dinner as a reward.
After toasting the others, he specifically clinked glasses with Celeste. “Thanks for your hard work.”
Celeste smiled. “You too.”
The table was lively.
Just as she set her glass down, her phone vibrated beside her. She picked it up and glanced at the screen.
One look was enough.
“Trev’s parents have already agreed to their marriage. Today, they even had him bring her to meet them.”
Matthias, who had leaned in to speak with her, saw the message as well.
A faint, cold smile touched his lips. “So, Mr. Fleming has finally decided to let them be together?”
Yes. That was exactly what the message implied.
Matthias reached out, took her phone, and unlocked it.
There were two photos attached.
