The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 685
Lennox smiled as well. “Exactly.”
With Wynn and Trevor growing close again, the Lockets and the Shaws had been in high spirits these past few days—despite Wynn’s serious injuries.
The next afternoon, Jordyn came to the hospital after school to visit Wynn.
Trevor was still busy, so the driver brought her over.
She rushed into the room. The moment she saw Wynn’s pale face, her expression filled with concern.
“Wynn, I saw the video. How are you now? Are you feeling better? Why didn’t you tell me when you got hurt so badly?”
Wynn smiled gently. “I’m fine. Much better now. I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want you to worry. That’s why I asked your dad not to say anything.”
She then asked Jordyn about school, and before long, the room filled with laughter.
After a while, Wynn smiled and said, “Come to think of it, it feels like it’s been a long time since we’ve talked like this. You even came all the way to the hospital and stayed so long today—I’m really happy.”
Hearing that, Jordyn couldn’t help but feel a twinge of guilt.
Ever since she had grown closer to Celeste, she had become more attached to her and rarely took the initiative to share her daily life with Wynn anymore.
Celeste, meanwhile, had no idea what was happening on their side.
She had been busy for an entire week, and only on the weekend did she finally get some time to rest.
On Saturday, she woke up later than usual. After breakfast, she suddenly noticed how quiet everything felt.
Then it hit her.
Over the past few months, whenever she had free time, Jordyn would either come over to the Rodriguez residence or call her, chatting endlessly.
But today, there was nothing.
No visit. No call.
Around noon, Jordyn finally sent her a message, saying she had things to do over the next couple of days and wouldn’t be coming by.
After reading it, Celeste thought of Wynn being in the hospital and guessed that Jordyn had gone to see her.
Just as that thought crossed her mind, another message came in—with a photo attached.
It showed Trevor, Wynn, and Jordyn together.
Wynn was still in her hospital gown. It was clearly taken in the hospital.
Before Celeste could linger on it, another message followed.
“Your daughter has been going with Trevor to visit Wynn every single day these past few days.”
From the tone alone, Celeste knew exactly who had sent it.
She deleted both the photo and the message.
Still, she replied to Jordyn’s earlier text with a single word.
“Okay.”
With Jordyn not coming over, Celeste finally had time to rest properly.
After two quiet days, she returned to work.
The project between YodaVision, the Fleming Group, and Quincy’s team continued to move forward steadily.
But in the days that followed, she never saw Trevor again.
Even without seeing him, she knew.
He had been going to the hospital every day to visit Wynn.
Jordyn, too, went there every day after school.
And she knew all of this for one reason—
Someone kept sending her photos. Every single day.
Along with them came all kinds of deliberately provocative messages.
Blocking the number didn’t help.
Each time she blocked one, a new number would appear—and the messages would continue.
