The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 684
There was still plenty to handle in the project with Quincy and Trevor.
The next day, when Celeste arrived as scheduled for discussions, Quincy was there—but Trevor wasn’t.
He had sent a senior executive to attend in his place.
From the early planning stages to the official collaboration and everything that followed, Trevor had always been personally involved. This was the first time he had been absent.
And it didn’t stop there—he missed the next few meetings as well.
Celeste, however, remained completely composed.
To her, as long as the collaboration moved forward smoothly, it didn’t matter who represented the other side.
After working with her for a while, Quincy had developed a genuine respect for Celeste. She wasn’t just highly capable—she kept a strict boundary between her personal and professional life.
Not once had her past with Trevor affected their work.
After the meeting, Quincy called Trevor. “I’ll be honest—Celeste’s work is impressive. But she really doesn’t have any feelings left for you.”
“Is that so?” Trevor replied.
“You’re still at the hospital, right? I’ve got some free time. Want me to stop by?”
Quincy had heard about the incident between Trevor and Wynn a few days earlier. As Trevor’s friend, it was only natural for him to visit, but he hadn’t been able to make time until now.
He had never met Wynn before.
Now that the collaboration between Celeste, Quincy, and Trevor was underway, Wynn—as well as the Lockets and the Shaws—were all aware of it. They just hadn’t had the chance to bring it up earlier due to the tension between Wynn and Trevor.
So when they heard Quincy was coming to visit, everyone—including Wynn—was pleased.
Under the circumstances, Trevor allowing Quincy to come see Wynn carried its own meaning. It showed that Wynn now held a more important place in his life.
When Quincy arrived at the hospital, they exchanged introductions and a few polite words.
Trevor poured him some tea and asked, “How’s the project going? Where are we at now?”
“It’s going very smoothly,” Quincy replied.
As the conversation turned to work, Quincy went into a bit more detail about their progress. Still, he didn’t stay long.
After exchanging a few more pleasantries with Wynn, he left.
Not long after, Miles and Beck arrived as well.
Over the past few days, they had been visiting frequently.
Watching the four of them chatting together, Lennox couldn’t help but comment, “It’s been a while since we’ve seen the four of them like this.”
Ever since the tension between Wynn and Trevor—and after Beck made it clear he had no feelings for Linda—things had changed. Trevor had rarely contacted Wynn, and Beck had stopped visiting their family as often.
But after Wynn saved Trevor, things shifted.
In the past few days, Beck’s attitude toward both families had noticeably softened—though he still remained distant with Linda.
Ruby smiled. “It almost feels like everything’s back to how it used to be.”
“Exactly.”
Recently, Trevor had been coming to the hospital several times a day to stay with Wynn.
Watching their relationship seemingly return to its former state, Ruby was overjoyed.
She couldn’t help but say, “Wynn really is lucky. With how cold Trevor had been before, I thought there was no fixing things. Who would’ve thought…”
