- An Understated Dominance Chapter 2394
Chapter 2394Abigail moved with extraordinary speed, her movements resembling ghostly shadows. As she weaved and dodged, her afterimages flashed around, making it nearly impossible to track her.
In contrast, Dustin remained perfectly still, without a single unnecessary move.
“Falling Flower Palm!” Abigail closed in and struck him relentlessly, landing over a dozen blows. Each strike created black palm shadows that flew towards Dustin like cannonballs.
Her attacks carried a unique voodoo-like energy, lethal to ordinary people. But Dustin’s body was immune to all poisons, allowing him to keep his composure.
Without dodging, Dustin countered the incoming palm shadows with a forceful strike of his own.
Boom!
A powerful gust of wind surged forward, meeting Abigail’s black shadows with overwhelming force.
Bang, bang, bang, bang, bang…
The black palm shadows exploded one after another, releasing a dark mist that rapidly spread across the arena.
“What’s this? Poisonous fog?” someone from the audience murmured.
“It’s inner energy, but what explodes is a toxic mist. That’s a clever technique.”
The audience whispered, recognizing the familiar but unsettling tactics of the Mystic Arts Order. Unlike the Tardif Sect’s toxins and hidden weapons, the Mystic Arts Order’s poison was elusive and unpredictable, often claiming victims without them realizing it.
If Dustin hadn’t sensed it and dispersed the shadows with his palm wind, he wouldn’t have had time to react once Abigail approached.
Within the poisonous fog, Abigail moved like a fish in water, her figure blending seamlessly into the darkness. To the audience, there were no clear afterimages, only gusts of wind hinting at her swift movements.
Dustin stood firm, generating inner energy to push the encroaching fog away. Despite his immunity to most poisons, he couldn’t afford to be reckless; some toxins could still harm him.
“Flowing Water Palm!” Abigail’s shadow flashed behind Dustin, accompanied by a gust of wind.
Dustin instinctively turned and struck with his palm.
Bang!
The impact dispersed the black mist, but Abigail was nowhere to be seen.
Dustin’s senses sharpened. He looked up to find Abigail directly above him, upside down, launching a precise strike at the protective energy around his head.
Her attack was silent and controlled, difficult to counter.
“Mr. Rhys, you’re quite cautious. Almost caught me off guard,” Abigail remarked with a sly smile. She bent her arms and suddenly straightened them, propelling herself away into the mist, evading Dustin’s retaliation.
Abigail was fully aware that she couldn’t match Dustin in a direct clash, so she relied on hit-and-run tactics.
“This girl’s improved,” Dustin thought, smirking. He prided himself on his keen perception, but Abigail’s breath-concealment technique had managed to deceive him.
However, Dustin suspected her technique was tied to the surrounding mist. Without hesitation, he stomped on the ground, unleashing a burst of energy.
Boom!
The arena floor cracked, sending shockwaves outward like a tidal wave. The violent gust dispersed the black fog in a whirlwind, exposing Abigail, who had been lurking nearby.
The two were now only three meters apart, locking eyes.
“Hehe…” Abigail forced an awkward smile.
“Stop toying around. Show me what you’ve really learned,” Dustin challenged, keeping his hands behind his back, not rushing to strike.
“Alright, I won’t hold back,” Abigail replied, activating her bloodline’s power.
A massive black phoenix suddenly manifested behind her. The creature was lifelike, exuding a dark and ominous aura. Its wings stretched twenty meters wide, trailing black flames, and its eyes radiated pure malice.
“What is that thing?” someone in the crowd exclaimed.
“Isn’t that the legendary Phoenix?” another whispered.
“It’s said the saint of the Mystic Arts Order carries the phoenix bloodline. When awakened, her power becomes unstoppable!” a voice murmured in awe.
“But why is hers black?” a skeptical observer questioned.
The audience buzzed with disbelief. The fabled phoenix of the Mystic Arts Order was known for its divine qualities, but this one seemed drenched in darkness and malevolence.
“Mr. Rhys, stay alert,” Abigail warned, her demeanor now cold and fierce. Shrouded in black mist, she resembled a vengeful spirit.
“Come at me,” Dustin commanded, eyes sharp, not budging.
Abigail extended her arms, and the black phoenix let out a piercing cry. Black flames rose, threatening to engulf the entire arena.
With a powerful flap of its wings, the phoenix unleashed a barrage of black feathers that transformed into deadly arrows, all imbued with corrosive toxins. Each feather blazed with dark flames, capable of burning flesh to dust in moments.
