Chapter 2381
“Phoenix, soar to the sky!”
Under intense pressure, Miguel unleashed all his potential. His inner energy surged like a tidal wave, flowing into his sword. The silver blade glowed brightly, its light almost blinding.
In the next instant, Miguel rose into the air, merging with his sword and transforming into a massive, divine silver phoenix. The bird let out a powerful cry and flew straight toward the golden sword hanging in the sky.
The silver phoenix, wings spread wide, generated a fierce wind as it moved with incredible force. It looked ready to break through the sky itself.
After hovering briefly in midair, the phoenix dove straight for the golden sword.
“Boom!”
The impact was deafening. The entire arena shook, and energy rippled out like waves, causing the protective barrier to tremble as if it might shatter at any moment.
At the heart of the explosion, the golden sword clashed with the phoenix’s beak. It pressed down on the bird like a massive weight, pushing it lower and lower until, with a final crash, the phoenix was driven back onto the stage.
Dust and debris flew everywhere, and the ring trembled violently, splitting with deep cracks like a shattered spider web.
When the dust finally settled, everyone was left stunned. The once-solid stage was now riddled with cracks, stretching out like the strands of a giant web. At its center lay a deep pit.
In the pit, Miguel was down on one knee, gasping for breath. His clothes were torn, his hair disheveled, and his hands bloodied. He looked utterly defeated.
His once-glowing silver sword was now broken in two, its shine gone. He used the broken blade to keep himself upright, but after a few labored breaths, he couldn’t hold back and spat out a large mouthful of blood. His face was pale, and he seemed incredibly weak.
Meanwhile, Glenn stood calmly, his expression unchanged. He hadn’t even moved a step.
Miguel was thoroughly beaten. It wasn’t until Glenn truly drew his sword that Miguel realized just how vast the gap between them was. There were no fancy techniques, just a powerful downward strike that almost finished him.
Had Miguel not pushed himself to his limits to deflect some of the sword’s force, he might not have survived. His confidence shattered, he now understood that no amount of skill could stand against such overwhelming power.
He couldn’t even block Glenn’s attack, so how could he hope to challenge him?
“My God! Is this the true power of the top fighter on the Legendary List? It’s unbelievable!”
“He’s a senior disciple of the Sword Union, and yet he couldn’t even defend against Glenn’s sword! This is incredible!”
“At this rate, Glenn is definitely going to win the tournament!”
The crowd couldn’t stop talking as they watched Glenn standing tall on the stage. Miguel wasn’t weak; he had fought his way into the top eight, proving he was one of the strongest young fighters. But even he couldn’t withstand a single strike from Glenn, which showed just how powerful Glenn truly was.
This wasn’t just a difference in skill; it was a massive gap in strength that set Glenn apart from everyone else.
“What kind of monster is he? Defeating his senior with just one strike—it’s brutal!” Kassidy said, her expression troubled. She had thought Fenley would win the championship after his breakthrough, but Glenn’s overwhelming display made her doubt that now.
“He truly lives up to his reputation as number one on the Legendary List,” Noemi said, still in shock. She had only known Glenn through rumors and never imagined the level of power he just showed.
“He’s definitely a tough opponent,” Fenley said, narrowing his eyes in concern. Before his breakthrough, he thought he was just slightly behind Glenn. Afterward, he believed he could beat him. But now, he wasn’t so sure.
It wasn’t just that Glenn’s sword was powerful; it was how effortlessly he won. Fenley couldn’t even tell if Glenn had used his full strength. That uncertainty was what made Glenn so terrifying.
