An Understated Dominance Chapter 2372 – “It’s great that you’re confident. Let everyone see today how powerful our Celestial Alliance is!” Noemi said happily.
“Exactly! Once you defeat Glenn, Brother Fenley, you’ll be the best in the world!” Kassidy cheered, her spirits high. Fenley’s growing strength had given the Celestial Alliance a huge morale boost.
Everyone knew that today’s outcome would determine the future of the entire sect.
If Fenley won, the reputation of the Celestial Alliance would reach new heights. But if he lost to the Sword Union or the Mystic Arts Order, it would be a major setback.
“The best in the world?” Fenley whispered to himself, his eyes gleaming.
He had long dreamed of that title. If he could defeat Glenn today, he would truly be the strongest of his generation. Undisputed!
With this thought, Fenley’s heart raced as he glanced at Glenn from the Sword Sect. Sensing it, Glenn also locked eyes with him.
The two stared each other down, full of determination.
After three seconds, they both looked away, as if nothing had happened. But the rivalry between them was already set.
The Celestial Alliance and Sword Union had always been rivals. Fenley and Glenn were the brightest talents of their sects, so comparisons between them were inevitable.
However, since they had never fought, no one could definitively say who was stronger.
But after the latest ranking of the Legendary List, Glenn had been ranked above Fenley. This led many to assume Glenn was superior.
Naturally, the disciples of Celestial Alliance were unhappy with this. In their eyes, the two had never fought, so why was Glenn seen as stronger?
This made the Celestial Alliance place great importance on today’s competition, especially the match between Fenley and Glenn—a showdown they had long anticipated.
Today’s competition wasn’t just about victory; it was about the honor of the two sects. Both Fenley and Glenn were determined to give it their all.
As time passed, the contestants gathered one by one.
After a night of rest, the top eight competitors were energized and confident, having received the full support of their sects.
When the time came, the referee, Orion Foster, stepped onto the ring.
“Today is the final round. The rules remain the same: you’ll draw lots to determine your opponents based on numbers.”
He continued, “No. 1 will face No. 8, No. 2 will face No. 7, No. 3 will face No. 6, and No. 4 will face No. 5. We’ll have four matches in the first half to decide the top four contestants.”
Orion paused and then reminded everyone, “Remember, this is a competition, not a fight to the finish. You’re all the future of Dragonmarsh, and we don’t want to see anyone get seriously hurt.”
With that, Orion invited the top eight contestants to the stage to draw lots.
Glenn and Fenley were the first to step up, taking positions on opposite sides of the ring. Although they hadn’t fought yet, their intense auras already showed the fierce competition between them.
After them, Abigail, Briggs, Easton, Miguel, Ezekiel, and Dustin took their turns.
Each contestant drew their lots in order, but no one revealed their number, adding an air of suspense and keeping the audience eager to find out the matchups.
After drawing lots, the contestants returned to their places. Dustin drew No. 5, meaning he would face No. 4, but he couldn’t figure out who that was, so he let it go.
Before the competition officially began, Sacred Wyrm Summit hosted a Peking Opera performance for entertainment. While the audience wasn’t particularly interested, they still clapped politely throughout.
Once the show was over, Orion Foster returned to the stage, announcing the first match: “The first battle will be between contestant No. 1, Fenley, and contestant No. 8, Briggs! Please come to the stage!”
Fenley confidently strode forward, while Briggs sighed and muttered, “How unlucky. Why did I have to face him?”
Briggs felt he stood a better chance against Miguel or Ezekiel, but going up against Fenley, who was ranked at the top of the Legendary List, seemed overwhelming.
“Go for it, Mr. Either! Don’t let the Celestial Alliance look down on you!” Halle cheered, waving her fist in support.
“Don’t worry about winning or losing. Just do your best!” Rivka added, encouraging him to stay confident.
It was already an achievement to make it to the top eight, and losing to someone as accomplished as Fenley wouldn’t be shameful.
Briggs took a deep breath, calmed his mind, and stepped onto the ring. Even if Fenley was strong, it didn’t mean he couldn’t put up a fight!
