An Understated Dominance Chapter 2373 – On stage, Fenley and Briggs faced each other from a distance. Both were outstanding talents, but Fenley had a bit more fame and recognition. However, Briggs had the advantage when it came to supporters—mainly because he was more handsome.
As soon as Briggs appeared, the crowd erupted in cheers, especially from the young girls who had formed a large cheerleading group for him. To anyone watching, it looked more like a fan meeting than a competition.
Briggs’s looks also attracted attention from another group. Some bold men, ignoring the stares around them, openly declared their love for him, causing quite a stir.
“Briggs, I love you like a mouse loves rice!” “Briggs, I want to have your baby!” “Briggs, you’re not a star in the sky; you’re the star in my heart!”
A few men, holding banners with cheesy love notes, shouted louder than the female fans. The scene was odd, and the rest of the audience didn’t quite know how to react.
While it took courage for these men to confess their love, it was still unusual for the crowd to get used to.
“It seems Master Either is so popular, even men can’t resist him.” “Sometimes being good-looking can be a hassle.”
Rivka and Halle, two sisters in the audience, exchanged glances and laughed. Secretly, they wondered if Briggs being gay would make things more interesting.
Back in the ring, Briggs remained calm, showing no reaction to the shouts. He had experienced this kind of attention many times and was used to it.
When the moment was right, Orion Foster announced the start of the match without delay.
“Yam Palace, Briggs Either,” Briggs greeted Fenley with a respectful fist salute.
“Celestial Alliance, Fenley Hudson,” Fenley responded with an equally serious salute.
Both fighters were among the top eight, and neither was to be underestimated. Even with confidence, Fenley knew he couldn’t afford any mistakes at this level.
Briggs, speaking calmly, said, “I’ve heard about you for a long time, Mr. Hudson. I’m here to learn from you today,” as he slowly drew a folding fan from his waist, ready to fight.
“Make your move,” Fenley replied, standing tall.
Without further words, Briggs leapt forward like an arrow. His wrist flicked, and three poisoned steel needles shot from his fan, aiming for Fenley’s vital points.
“Is that all?” Fenley stomped his foot on the ground, sending a shockwave that shattered the needles and continued rushing toward Briggs.
The ground cracked, dust rose, and the force twisted the air, showing the terrifying power Fenley had gained after breaking through to the Grandmaster level.
Briggs’s eyes narrowed, realizing he couldn’t face the attack head-on. He tapped his toes lightly and shot into the air, dodging the incoming force like a bird.
“Foolish,” Fenley muttered, a hint of disdain on his face. Suddenly, a bright light surrounded him, and a giant phantom of a god appeared behind him. Fenley controlled the phantom, commanding it to slam its massive palm down on Briggs.
The palm came down with the force of thunder, aiming to crush Briggs.
“Split!” With no other escape, Briggs made a quick hand sign. Just as the giant palm was about to hit, his body split into three, each figure darting in different directions.
Fenley paused, surprised. He couldn’t immediately tell which one was the real Briggs.
“The clone technique? How does he know that?”
The crowd was just as surprised. Jude Leith was known for two special skills: teleportation-like movement and a realistic clone technique, which earned him a spot in the top ten of the Legendary List. They had thought this clone technique was exclusive to Jude, but now Briggs was using it too.
It became clear that none of the fighters who had made it to the top eight were ordinary.
