An Understated Dominance Chapter 2364 – “This is getting interesting. Looks like this competition won’t be boring after all,” Glenn Hadley, seated with the Sword Union, said with a slight smile. His cold expression showed rare interest.
As a swordsman, Glenn loved facing strong opponents. The tougher the challenger, the more excited he became. When he saw another sword master, his desire to fight grew stronger.
Of course, most ordinary swordsmen didn’t catch his eye, but Dustin’s performance earlier grabbed his attention. The two swords, Dragon Sparrow and Celestial Blade, were fast and fierce, and the sword energy was sharp, equal to his own. Such a skilled opponent was exactly what Glenn sought as a challenge.
He wasn’t the only one with this feeling. Dustin’s impressive sword skills, which he used to defeat Father Adam, amazed the crowd, and suddenly, he became the dark horse of the competition. While no one expected him to win, many now believed he could make it to the top three, at the very least.
Dustin’s value skyrocketed, and various sects were eager to recruit him. They knew that with the right training, he could become a powerful figure, one who could elevate their sects to greatness. However, while many extended offers, getting him to join was another matter.
The competition from 16 to 8 ended with Dustin’s victory. All three foreign challengers were eliminated, and none survived. This round was full of twists and surprises, and no one could predict the outcome until the end. Fighters like Easton Foster, who defeated Elder Shade, Briggs Ethier, who beat Jude Leith, and Dustin, who sealed his win, all proved to be unexpected stars. Initially underestimated, they ended up winning—and winning impressively.
Besides the dark horses, the other contestants also gave solid performances, showcasing their strengths. After several rounds, the top eight fighters were finally chosen. Tomorrow, the real champion would emerge from this group.
This title carried more weight than the Legendary List, which only predicted a warrior’s strength based on various factors. The ring competition, however, was a true test of skill, where victories and defeats were clear-cut, leaving no room for speculation.
As night fell, the once-bustling Sacred Wyrm Summit grew quiet. The top eight contestants either rested or strategized, preparing for tomorrow’s crucial match. The top three spots were the goal for everyone, and whether they would rise to fame depended on this moment.
The factions supporting these fighters were also on edge. Securing a top-three spot not only brought great rewards from Sacred Wyrm Summit, but it also boosted the sect’s reputation, attracting elite warriors from all over. This competition wasn’t just about personal glory, but also the rise and fall of entire sects. No one could afford to take it lightly.
As a result, the sects pulled out all their secret treasures and gave them to their disciples, hoping they would shine in tomorrow’s contest—and perhaps even win the championship.
Meanwhile, thirty kilometers away from Sacred Wyrm Summit, Bear King Bailey was sitting at a dining table, eating large portions of meat and gulping down wine. His mouth was greasy from the feast. The table, five meters long, was covered with all kinds of meat—about thirty to forty dishes—without a single vegetable.
“Lord Bailey!” Tyson Houle rushed in, looking anxious.
“What’s wrong?” Bear King Bailey didn’t look up, continuing to eat heartily.
“Lord Bailey, Plan A has failed!” Tyson said gravely. “The three masters we sent to compete with the Dragonmarsh warriors have all been killed. None survived!”
“Huh?” Bear King Bailey finally stopped eating and slowly raised his head. “Are you sure they were all killed? Even Father Adam?”
“Yes!” Tyson nodded firmly. “I’ve brought back their remains. Lord Bailey, would you like to see for yourself?”
“Bring them in,” Bear King Bailey replied, his face darkening.
With his permission, Tyson waved, and several people carried in three bodies covered with white cloths.
Bear King Bailey approached, lifted the cloth, and frowned. These weren’t bodies—they were piles of mangled flesh! Bill Wolf, the Prince of Darkness, and Father Adam of Angel Dust had been utterly destroyed. Not only were their bodies unrecognizable, but no complete organs remained—just two heaps of shredded meat.
The only body that was somewhat intact belonged to Black Kong. Even then, his upper body had been blown apart, leaving only his legs below the waist.
“How could this happen? What went wrong?” Bear King Bailey roared in fury. He had worked hard to gather these three powerful masters, only to have them all die so miserably right before the quarterfinals. It was an enormous humiliation!
