Halsey winced in pain, her brows furrowing.

Shaun hovered over her, his lips brushing against her earlobe as he murmured, “This is

your punishment.”

In response, she sank her teeth into his shoulder.

A dangerous glint flickered in Shaun’s eyes as he pinned her wrists down, ignoring her

resistance.

Halsey didn’t understand how they had ended up like this again-two people who were

supposed to be over, tangled together as if nothing had changed.

And he had just come back from a date with Geneva.

Her body ached, a dull throb reminding her of the fragile life inside her. The first trimester was too risky for this. “Slow down-you’re hurting me!”

Shaun’s smirk deepened. “That’s what I thought.”

As his lips claimed hers, Halsey knew there was no escaping tonight. Worse, her traitorous body responded to him like it always had. She still wanted him, both her heart and body.

With a sudden burst of strength, she shoved him onto his back and straddled him.

Shaun gripped her hips, his eyes dark with amusement. “What’s this?”

“I prefer being in control,” she said.
