Chapter 2421
“Take a guess,” Lennox said with a sly smirk, taking another sip from his wine pot.
His cultivation was indeed sealed, but his true strength didn’t rely solely on cultivation. It came from the mysterious wine he carried.
The wine, brewed from rare spiritual herbs, was rich in spiritual energy, which Lennox could directly absorb and convert into raw combat power. In essence, the more he drank, the stronger he became—even with his cultivation suppressed.
“Is it the wine?” Damien’s eyes narrowed as he focused on the pot in Lennox’s hand. He quickly pieced together the pattern: every time Lennox took a sip, his attacks grew fiercer.
“Correct,” Lennox replied with a mocking grin. “But unfortunately, there’s no prize for you.”
Before Damien could react, Lennox struck again. With a single powerful palm strike, he sent a deadly force crashing toward Damien. Already gravely injured, Damien had no chance to block.
“Master Houle, save me!” Damien screamed in desperation, his voice echoing through the battlefield.
“Traitor! Prepare to die!” Tyson roared, springing into action. Without hesitation, he launched a punch aimed squarely at Lennox.
Though Tyson’s cultivation was also sealed, he had prepared for such situations by taking an elixir beforehand. The pill allowed him to temporarily maintain his peak combat strength, but it came at a cost—he could only sustain it for ten moves. Once its effects wore off, he would be left as vulnerable as the others.
Originally, Tyson had planned to reserve the elixir for a decisive moment, but with Damien’s cry for help and everyone watching, he couldn’t afford to stand idle.
Unfazed by Tyson’s intervention, Lennox turned to meet the incoming punch with a palm strike of his own.
Boom!
The collision sent shockwaves rippling outward, forcing nearby warriors to stumble back.
Tyson staggered more than ten steps, his body trembling as the blood in his veins surged chaotically. Lennox, however, stood firm, calm, and unshaken.
“How is this possible?” Tyson’s face darkened, disbelief written all over it. The power behind Lennox’s palm strike was overwhelming, even in a sealed state. Tyson couldn’t fathom how much stronger Lennox must be at full strength.
It was no wonder Lennox had earned the title of Wine Immortal in the martial arts world.
“Lennox! After everything the Pantheon has done for you, why would you betray us?” Tyson demanded, his voice filled with anger and frustration.
First Dustin’s betrayal had thrown the Pantheon into chaos, and now Lennox’s defection only deepened their crisis.
“Betray you?” Lennox chuckled, his tone dripping with amusement. “You misunderstand. Someone paid me handsomely to infiltrate your Pantheon and sabotage your plans at the critical moment. So, technically, I’m not a traitor—I was never on your side to begin with. You could call me… an undercover agent.”
As he spoke, Lennox took another long sip from his wine pot, his composure unfaltering.
The wine was his lifeline now. Without access to his cultivation, he relied entirely on the spiritual energy from the wine to fuel his strength. However, he knew this strength was temporary—the wine would eventually run out, leaving him vulnerable.
He needed to act quickly and eliminate as many threats as possible.
“So, you’re nothing but a spy!” Tyson snarled, his face twisting with rage. “Don’t forget, Lennox, you took poison before the mission. Without my antidote, you’re as good as dead!”
Lennox smirked. “And if I kill you, won’t the antidote become mine?”
“You—!” Tyson froze for a moment, then his expression turned feral. “Fine! Since you’re so stubborn, don’t blame me for what happens next. Everyone, listen up! Whoever kills Lennox will have their bounty doubled!”
At Tyson’s command, many warriors turned their attention to Lennox, abandoning their previous targets.
Lennox raised an eyebrow, amused. To them, he seemed like an easier opponent than Dustin. And if given the choice, they naturally preferred to go after the more “manageable” threat.
“Hahaha! Come on, then!” Lennox laughed heartily, tipping back his wine pot and drinking deeply.
As the last drop of wine slid down his throat, Lennox’s face flushed crimson, and an immense aura radiated from his body.
“Let me show you a skill long forgotten—Traversing the Eight Wildernesses!”
He took a deep breath, clapped his palms together, and unleashed a spectacular technique.
From Lennox’s body, countless phantoms erupted, spreading out like an endless tide. Hundreds, then thousands of figures surrounded him, each moving with a life of its own.
Though Lennox himself stood motionless, his phantoms launched attacks from every direction.
The warriors quickly realized that these phantoms weren’t mere illusions. Each punch and kick felt as real as if Lennox himself had delivered it. Anyone struck by the phantoms collapsed instantly, writhing in pain.
Even more terrifying, the phantoms were indestructible. When struck down, they regenerated on the spot, resuming their relentless assault.
The battlefield devolved into chaos. The warriors who had rushed at Lennox were overwhelmed in mere moments, their numbers rapidly dwindling under the onslaught.
Within seconds, the fight turned into a massacre. Screams filled the air as Lennox’s phantoms decimated the attackers.
Tyson, Damien, and the remaining fighters watched in stunned silence, their faces pale with disbelief.
No one had expected Lennox to unleash such devastating power. In one move, he had wiped out most of their elite forces.
The sight was nothing short of horrifying.
