    Chapter 2409

“Captain Rhys, I’m so sorry! I didn’t realize who you were. Please forgive me this time!”

The young man with dreadlocks, pale and trembling, bowed deeply as beads of sweat rolled down his forehead. He had been momentarily stunned, but fear overtook him as he realized Dustin’s identity. Dustin was a top grandmaster, capable of ending his life with ease.

“Don’t let it happen again,” Dustin said coldly, his gaze piercing.

He didn’t strike, but in his mind, these people were already condemned. By colluding with the Pantheon and invading Sacred Wyrm Summit, they had sealed their fate. It was only a question of when they would meet their end.

“Yes, of course! Thank you for your mercy, Captain Rhys!” The young man nodded repeatedly, relief washing over him. He felt as though he had narrowly escaped death. From now on, he resolved to be more cautious about whom he tried to impress, lest his recklessness lead to his doom.

Dustin surveyed the group, his voice calm yet commanding. “I’ll keep this brief. We all share a common goal. If we work together, tonight’s mission will succeed flawlessly.”

Everyone nodded in agreement, bowing their heads in acknowledgment.

Everyone, except for one—Lennox Willis, the Wine Fairy.

Lennox paid no attention to the unfolding events around him, sipping his wine as though in another world. Despite this, Dustin held a favorable impression of him. Lennox didn’t seem to be an accomplice to the Pantheon’s schemes. In fact, when Damien Holmes had attacked Dustin earlier, it was Lennox who had stepped in to stop him. If danger arose tonight, Lennox might prove to be an ally.

“Alright, stay here for now and prepare. When the time comes, we’ll act together. I have other matters to attend to, so I’ll take my leave.” Dustin clasped his fists in farewell before departing.

Two hours remained until midnight—enough time to finalize preparations. Tyson Houle left the secret courtyard, moving swiftly across the rugged terrain until he arrived at the Pantheon’s temporary headquarters.

Nestled in a secluded location less than ten kilometers from Sacred Wyrm Summit, the headquarters was heavily guarded. Sentinels patrolled the area, ensuring no one could approach unnoticed. Even Tyson, a high-ranking figure within the Pantheon, had to present identification before being granted entry.

Inside the meeting hall, the Pantheon’s key players had gathered.

At the forefront was Bear King Bailey, alongside several world-renowned masters. Among them were William, the Blood Demon; Tristan Enns, the Sword Master of the Kimboku Kingdom; and representatives of the Zhunigia Kingdom’s three major factions—Brady, Santino, and Victor. Joining them was Basong, the Boxing Saint from Bonga Kingdom.

Each of these individuals was a grandmaster, among the strongest fighters in the world. Their goal? To invade Sacred Wyrm Summit, seize its treasures, and destroy its dragon vein.

To bolster their ranks, the Pantheon had also deployed over ten additional masters and a team of hundreds of elite warriors. They had pulled every available resource for this mission—failure was not an option.

As the main attendees settled, Bear King Bailey motioned to a group of servants. They entered the hall carrying ornate boxes, placing them before the gathered fighters.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Bear King Bailey began, his voice booming, “this is the latest gene-enhancement potion developed by the Pantheon. Each of you will receive two doses. After taking them, your strength will increase significantly. Please, help yourselves.”

The servants opened the boxes, revealing two vials per person—one filled with red liquid, the other blue.

To demonstrate their safety, one of the Pantheon’s master-level fighters picked up a pair of vials and drank them on the spot. It was both a statement of confidence and a gesture to quell doubts.

“I’ve heard the Pantheon’s potions are extraordinary. Let me be the first to try!” declared Tristan Enns. Without hesitation, he downed both potions.

Moments later, his body burned with energy. His heartbeat quickened, his strength surged, and the energy within him felt more potent and refined.

“This is remarkable! Thank you, Your Excellency Bear King, for the gift!” Tristan bowed deeply, his respect evident.

Bear King Bailey smiled. “No need for formalities. We’re allies, and it’s only natural to support each other. Should you wish for more, the Pantheon is ready to supply you with as many potions as you need.”

“Excellent! I look forward to a fruitful partnership,” Tristan replied, his face alight with satisfaction.

He was aware of the potion’s drawback: the enhancements would fade without annual doses. But with a steady supply from the Pantheon, he had no concerns.

“I’ll try as well,” said William, the Blood Demon, with a sinister grin. He drank both potions in a single motion, the liquids disappearing down his throat like streams of light. Instantly, his pale complexion turned vibrant, and his bloodshot eyes gleamed with renewed vigor.

“Magnificent!” William laughed darkly, savoring the intoxicating power coursing through his veins.

Seeing Tristan and William’s transformations, the other masters wasted no time. Each took their potions, their trust in the Pantheon evident.

Soon, the hall echoed with their praises, the atmosphere charged with anticipation. The Pantheon’s preparations were complete, and their resolve was unwavering. The mission to claim Sacred Wyrm Summit—and its dragon vein—was about to begin.
