Chapter 2389After the semi-finals, it was time for a break. It was already noon, and both the players and the audience needed a moment to eat and drink.

After about an hour, the atmosphere began to liven up again. Referee Orion Foster stepped onto the stage, followed by a Sacred Wyrm Summit disciple carrying a black box filled with numbered balls.

“It’s time! Let’s invite the semi-finalists to draw,” Orion announced loudly.

Amidst warm applause, four figures walked onto the stage in succession. Glenn Hadley led the way, followed by Fenley Hudson, then Abigail Robinson, and finally, Dustin Rhys.

“Mr. Rhys, it’s the semi-finals. Good luck!” Abigail winked at Dustin playfully.

“You too,” Dustin replied with a smile.

Abigail’s chances against Glenn seemed slim, but if she faced Fenley, she stood a good chance. After all, Fenley had just broken through to his current level, while Abigail had been a grandmaster for nearly a year. Her Phoenix bloodline was fully awakened and stable. Given a few more years, her potential seemed boundless.

“Glenn, I hope we end up in the same group and settle this quickly,” Fenley said with a gleam of determination in his eyes. He didn’t see Abigail or Dustin as serious threats—his only focus was Glenn. He believed that beating Glenn would guarantee him the championship.

“You might want to reconsider that,” Glenn responded coldly. To him, Fenley wasn’t a challenge. It was Dustin who intrigued him, especially since Dustin was a disciple of Seth Hughes, the Sword Immortal.

“Now, let’s draw the lots!” Orion called out.

The rules remained unchanged: first number versus last number.

“I’ll go first!” Fenley stepped forward and confidently drew a ball from the box, raising it high for all to see. It was number 4.

After drawing, he stood aside. Abigail glanced at Dustin and Glenn, and seeing no objections, she approached the box and drew her own ball.

“Number 3,” Abigail declared, holding it up for the audience.

“You’re lucky you didn’t get me; you still have a chance,” Fenley said smugly.

According to the rules, number 1 faces number 4, and number 2 faces number 3.

“Heh… You’re so full of yourself,” Abigail retorted. “You’re the weakest among us, and yet you’re the loudest. Where’s your self-awareness?” She didn’t hold back. Glenn and Dustin were both at the top of the Legendary list, while Abigail ranked second. Fenley, however, was fifth. Despite being the lowest-ranked of the four, he continued to boast.

“Hmph! You lack vision,” Fenley shot back. Before his breakthrough, he might have been weaker, but now he was brimming with confidence.

Once Abigail finished, Dustin stepped forward and drew his number. Seeing it, he sighed, a little resigned.

He had drawn number 2, which meant he would be facing Abigail. Given their master-apprentice relationship, this wasn’t the matchup Dustin had hoped for.

With Dustin holding number 2, Glenn was left with number 1. As Glenn revealed his number, the audience’s excitement reached a fever pitch.

Number 1 would face number 4, which meant the first match would be Glenn versus Fenley. Both were considered favorites, and the crowd was buzzing with anticipation.

“Glenn! Finally, we can have our showdown!” Fenley grinned, his blood pumping with excitement.

Glenn remained stoic. “You’re unfortunate to have drawn me.”

“Unlucky? I see this as my opportunity,” Fenley shot back confidently. “If I defeat you myself, I’ll take the top spot on the Legendary list!”

“You’re dreaming,” Glenn replied, his tone ice-cold.

“There’s no point in talking. We’ll settle this in the ring,” Fenley said, his eyes blazing with intensity.

Seeing that the two were on the verge of a clash, Dustin and Abigail quickly stepped back, leaving the stage for the duel to unfold.

After ensuring both fighters were ready, Orion raised his hand. “The first match of the semi-finals: Glenn vs. Fenley. Let the game begin!”
