An Understated Dominance Chapter 2355 – “Master Leith, I respect your reputation as a master on the Legendary List, but at Yam Palace, we never give up without a fight. I have a duty to fulfill, so I must give it a try. I hope you can forgive me for this.”
Briggs spoke calmly, with neither pride nor humility, a smile ever-present on his face.
“If you think so highly of yourself, come on. Let’s see what you’ve got,” Jude responded, standing with his hands behind his back, exuding arrogance as if daring Briggs to make a move.
Jude wouldn’t act so smug if he were facing a formidable opponent, but since Briggs was an unknown figure, Jude felt no real threat. To him, it was just a matter of time.
“Master Leith, forgive me!”
Without hesitation, Briggs clasped his hands and lunged forward, striking at Jude with his palm.
Though the strike appeared slow, it was incredibly fast. A wave of cold air hit first, freezing the ground where the strike passed.
This was the famed Frost Palm, a powerful technique from Yam Palace, rumored to freeze opponents on contact or even drain their life force in severe cases.
Briggs gave everything in this attack, treating Jude as a true threat, knowing he couldn’t afford to hold back against someone of Jude’s caliber from the Legendary List.
“Huh!”
The cold wind blasted forward, and Briggs’ palm hit Jude square in the chest.
Yet, Briggs wasn’t surprised; he frowned, realizing something was off. In the next moment, Jude’s body vanished, dissolving like a phantom.
“You’re too slow. You can’t even touch me,” a mocking voice echoed from behind. Briggs turned and saw Jude, still standing ten meters away with a smug grin, hands behind his back.
Briggs said nothing and attacked again, faster and with more force this time, his palm strike thundering toward Jude.
“It’s pointless,” Jude sneered. “Attempting the impossible isn’t bravery, it’s stupidity.”
“Boom!”
Briggs’ second strike hit nothing but air, though its sheer power was evident from the loud explosion it caused.
“Over here!” Jude’s voice teased from behind once again.
This time, Briggs didn’t turn but instead struck out toward the sound, sending a white palm shadow across the ten-meter gap. But again, Jude’s figure disappeared.
“Too slow!” Jude mocked. “At this rate, you’ll tire yourself out before you even lay a finger on me.”
Jude’s movements became ghost-like, darting unpredictably around the ring. Left, right, forward, back—his movements were erratic, as if he were teleporting. No matter how hard Briggs tried, he couldn’t touch him.
Jude was toying with Briggs, like a cat playing with a mouse.
“As expected of a master from the Legendary List! His ability to move like that is incredible.”
“The gap in their strength is too obvious. Even without attacking, Jude’s movement alone could defeat Briggs.”
“This is humiliating. If I were Briggs, I would’ve given up already. Why let myself be played like this?”
The audience murmured as they watched Briggs being run in circles, with the outcome already clear. Jude was simply biding his time before finishing him off.
“Sister, Master Ethier is in serious trouble. If this keeps up, he’s going to lose,” Halle said, frowning as she watched.
Every one of Briggs’ strikes hit empty air, unable to harm Jude.
“Master Ethier is strong, but he’s no match for someone on the Legendary List,” Rivka replied, shaking her head. The Legendary List was reserved for exceptional geniuses, and everyone else was just a shadow in comparison.
“Come on, faster! Hit me once!” Jude taunted. “How can someone as weak as you dare to challenge me?”
“You’re like an ant trying to shake a tree!”
On the ring, Jude effortlessly dodged Briggs’ attacks, ridiculing him with every word, treating him like a joke.
Briggs stayed silent, attacking again and again with increasing speed and power, ignoring the toll it was taking on his body.
“I suggest you surrender before you collapse from exhaustion,” Jude said. “You should know your limits—”
Before Jude could finish his sentence, a powerful gust of wind rushed toward him.
The key was that Jude had just reappeared and wasn’t fully solid yet, making it impossible for him to dodge. The timing of Briggs’ strike was perfect.
“Bang!”
With a loud crash, Jude was struck hard in the chest, sent flying into the air.
