An Understated Dominance Chapter 2322 [4643 – 4644] – Eduardo’s death came as a complete shock to everyone.
When he unleashed the Shadow Killing Technique, the crowd was certain of his victory. This ancient, secret skill, long lost to time, was legendary in the martial arts world. It was known to be unbeatable against opponents of the same level and could even kill those more powerful. The Shadow Killing Technique bypasses physical defenses and energy shields, directly inflicting fatal damage on the soul. Only those with exceptionally strong mental strength could hope to withstand it.
At first, everything seemed to go as expected. Eduardo, using the Shadow Killing Technique, completely dominated Black Kong, leaving him with no chance to fight back.
But then, in a split second, Eduardo—who had seemed invincible just moments before—was suddenly stabbed through the heart and died instantly.
It all happened so fast that the audience didn’t even have time to process it.
“Dead… he’s dead?”
“What just happened?”
“It was too fast! I couldn’t see it clearly!”
The crowd stared at Eduardo’s lifeless body in disbelief. How could he, who had clearly been in control, have died so suddenly?
“Noemi, did you see what happened?” Grace asked, her expression serious.
Noemi had just seen Eduardo controlling his shadow, defeating Black Kong’s fists, and knocking him to the ground. But how did he suddenly get fatally stabbed?
“If I’m not mistaken, the handleless blade came from contestant No. 30’s body,” Grace replied. “He must have some special ability that lets him change the metal he consumes into a weapon, allowing for an unexpected attack.”
“Turning metal he eats into a weapon? What kind of strange ability is that?” Kassidy wondered aloud.
Typically, warriors focus on physical training, energy cultivation, or other orthodox methods. But Black Kong was different. He seemed to be a rare supernatural being, and since he hadn’t initially revealed his powers, he misled everyone. This misunderstanding is what led to Eduardo’s unexpected death.
“So, the big guy planned this all along?” Noemi speculated. “He used his fists to distract Eduardo, baited him into using the Shadow Killing Technique, and then struck when Eduardo was focused on his attack, using his special ability to deliver the killing blow.”
“Could it be that the big guy saw the flaw in Eduardo’s Shadow Killing Technique?” Kassidy asked, surprised. “How could someone who looks like a simple brute have such insight?”
The Shadow Killing Technique inflicts severe mental trauma on its victims, leaving weaker opponents as nothing more than idiots or even dead. Although Black Kong was strong, he must have experienced immense pain and couldn’t possibly have remained calm enough to spot a weakness in the technique.
“If I’m right, he must have had help from a master,” Noemi speculated, glancing toward Father Adam and Bill Wolf, who were part of Black Kong’s group. “When Black Kong was in trouble, those two wouldn’t have just stood by. They might have given him advice through some hidden means, helping him turn the tables.”
Though there was suspicion of cheating, their actions were subtle and undetected. Without proof, it would be impossible to accuse them.
“Hmph! They’re a bunch of underhanded cowards!” Kassidy sneered. “When they can’t win in a fair fight, they resort to shady tactics. It’s disgusting!”
“It’s such a shame for Eduardo,” Noemi sighed, regret evident in her voice. “He had finally mastered the Shadow Killing Technique and was on the verge of becoming a martial arts legend. But now, he’s gone.”
Eduardo was just one step away from becoming a martial arts master. With the power of his Shadow Killing Technique, he would have been unstoppable if he had reached that level. But now, his potential would never be realized.
“If I were Eduardo, I would have kept the Shadow Killing Technique a secret until I was strong enough to protect myself. Then, I’d reveal it and become famous worldwide!” Kassidy remarked.
“Life is full of unexpected events. It’s too late to change anything now,” Noemi replied with a heavy sigh.
Meanwhile, on the ring, Black Kong, still trembling from the mental trauma, slowly got up. Though pale, sweating, and barely able to stand, his smile was bright. He knew he had made the right gamble and won the fight.
“Dragonmarsh Warrior, your powers are indeed formidable. You almost defeated me, but in the end, I was victorious!” Black Kong sneered as he looked down at Eduardo’s body. Then, with a grim smile, he lifted his foot and stomped heavily on Eduardo’s head.
“Bang!”
With a loud crack, Eduardo’s head burst like a watermelon, splattering red and white across the ground.
