Chelsea was sitting right next to Halsey, a smirk playing on her lips. She couldn’t help but sneer.

“Ms. Mallin, I never thought I’d see the day you’d end up just watching from the sidelines. Everyone’s focused on Elise on stage -she’s the center of attention now, and you’ve become the background. It’s pretty funny, considering she’s just an entertainer out here selling herself.”

Deep down, Chelsea truly looked down on Elise, but it didn’t matter. Guys liked women like her-flirty and a little wild.

Halsey took a sip of her milk, not saying much. Then she smiled and said, “She dances well, so it makes sense people are watching her. If you don’t like her, why don’t you get up there and take her down yourself?”

Chelsea’s face flickered with anger. “What…”

Then she lowered her voice, “Are you just going to watch Shaun get taken away by Elise?”

Halsey stayed silent.

Meanwhile, Elise had reached the climax of her dance. With a few spins, she leaped right off the stage.

This was her classic move-she would start scanning for prey as soon as she got on stage, and when the energy peaked, she would spin and jump down to make her move. In this wild, flashy scene, many men lost themselves, and Elise played her game seriously.

The crowd couldn’t hold back anymore-they screamed and shouted, “Elise, come here!”

The whole room was hyped up now, cheering loudly. Elise danced hard right in front of Shaun, her flexible waist swaying and her eyes filled with longing directed straight at him.

Soon, she spun and leaped toward Shaun’s arms.

She was going to land right in his lap.

Her lips curled in a smile as she imagined the pride she would feel being in his arms. She closed her eyes.

But the next second, there was a loud noise as she crashed into the couch.

Shaun had shifted closer to Halsey just as Elise jumped, leaving Elise grasping air.

Caught off guard, Elise couldn’t stop her momentum. She slammed into the couch, then tumbled off onto the floor with a loud thud. Even worse-as she fell, she knocked over drinks from the coffee table, spilling them all over her face.

“Ah!” Elise screamed.

The music in the bar stopped immediately. Everyone stared as Elise lay there in a ridiculously embarrassing pose, drenched in

spilled drinks, her makeup ruined.

“Elise, are you okay…hahaha!”

Laughter broke out among the crowd-no one could hold it in. The scene was just too funny!

Elise’s mind exploded. She hadn’t expected Shaun to move like that, leaving her to make a huge fool of herself.

This bar was always packed with rich guys and was the perfect hunting ground for them. Now she had made a complete mess of things, losing face badly.
