She let go of his sleeve. “Bye.”

Shaun said, “Get some rest. I’ll drive you to the hospital tomorrow.”

With that, Shaun left.

Halsey stood by the window, staring downstairs through the clear glass. His luxury car was parked right there, and Elise was waiting by the side.

When Shaun’s tall, handsome figure appeared, Elise smiled and greeted him, “Mr. Lane, get in.”

Shaun got into the passenger seat, Elise took the driver’s seat, and the car sped away.

Halsey placed her small hand gently on her belly. She was already three months pregnant, and her once-flat stomach now had a soft curve.

The next morning, Shaun personally drove to pick up Halsey, and they arrived at the hospital together.

Just then, the baby moved-a little kick against Halsey’s belly.

Shaun felt it too. The baby’s kick hit his palm, strong and lively.

The baby kicked again, stronger this time.

“Ah!” Halsey cried.

Shaun immediately reached out to steady her. “Does it hurt when the baby kicks like that?”

The doctor smiled. “Mr. Lane, looks like you not only love the baby, but also really care about the mother!”
