Nathan smirked. “That’s because your stamina isn’t great. Starting tomorrow, you need to work out more.” He woke up early every day to go running and exercised regularly; his physical condition was excellent.

Ivy had no interest in working out. Her period was due in the next couple of days, and she would soon know whether she was pregnant.

If she was pregnant, there was no way she would exercise.

“Take a nap. I’ll drive us home,” Nathan said.

“Okay,” Ivy replied.

Nathan pressed the accelerator, and the luxury car glided smoothly down the road. His steady driving lulled Ivy almost instantly, and she drifted off into a deep sleep.

Watching her fall asleep so quickly, Nathan smiled helplessly. It seemed he really had worn her out earlier.

He slowed down, turned on the air conditioning, and drove home at an easy pace.

Half an hour later, the car stopped in front of the villa. Ivy still hadn’t woken up. Nathan didn’t disturb her and simply lifted her out of the car.

As they entered the house, Wanda hurried over. “Oh my—did Mrs. Lowe fall asleep in the car?”

Nathan nodded. “Don’t wake her. I’ll take her upstairs.”

Wanda paused, then asked, “Haven’t you noticed Mrs. Lowe has been especially sleepy lately?”

Nathan thought for a moment. “Now that you mention it, yes. Last night she even fell asleep with her head on the table.”

Wanda already had an idea, and her face lit up with delight.

“Why do you ask?” Nathan said.

Wanda smiled. “Oh, it’s nothing. Hurry and take Mrs. Lowe upstairs so she can rest early.”

Nathan carried Ivy upstairs.

Wanda was overjoyed. It looked like Keith’s wish was about to come true. Ivy was very likely pregnant.

In the bedroom, Nathan laid Ivy gently on the bed and lightly pinched her cheek. “Do you want to take a shower?”

Half-asleep, Ivy frowned. “Don’t bother me. I’m so tired.”

She hugged the blanket and drifted back to sleep.

Nathan had no choice. He went to the bathroom, grabbed a towel, and carefully wiped her down.

Ivy slept soundly, never stirring.

After settling her in, Nathan returned to the bathroom and took a shower himself.

A stinging sensation flared across his back. When he looked in the mirror, he saw several scratch marks. She had scratched him hard enough to draw blood at the movie theater. His neck and collarbone were covered in love bites, leaving everything looking unmistakably suggestive.

Nathan curved his lips into a smile. Passionate Ivy really was like a little temptress. She drained his energy completely.

He had to admit it—he was deeply drawn to her. As long as she took the initiative, he lost all restraint.

No other woman had ever made him act this recklessly.

After putting on his pajamas, Nathan returned to the bedroom, climbed into bed, and pulled Ivy into his arms.

He kissed her forehead and whispered, “Goodnight.”

When Ivy woke early the next morning, the space beside her was empty. Nathan was already gone.

She checked the time, still a little dazed. It was already eight in the morning.

She couldn’t believe how long she had slept.

“Wow… am I really still the career-driven powerhouse I used to be?” she muttered.

She was about to get up when she heard a knock at the door. Wanda’s voice sounded from outside. “Mrs. Lowe, are you awake?”

“Yes, I’m awake,” Ivy replied.

Wanda opened the door and handed something to her. “This is for you.”
