A chill ran down Ivy’s spine, her expression hardening at the thought. “Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, that girl isn’t setting foot into this family,” she declared, her voice firm and resolute.

Tabitha’s tone softened, tinged with sadness. “Sweetheart, you’re my only daughter. When your father cheated, it nearly broke me. But for you, I stayed. You’ve worked so hard to be the perfect heiress, studying diligently, building your career, and becoming the head jewelry designer. Your grandpa adores you. That’s the only reason we’ve managed to stay strong as a family. I know you’ve had it rough.”

“Mom, you don’t have to say that. Not everyone gets to live the life they want. I’m fine with how things are,” Ivy replied quietly, her voice barely above a whisper.

Tabitha hesitated, her heart aching for her daughter. “Your father already gave 5% of Quinn Corp’s shares to that girl,” she added, the words hanging heavily in the air.
