Miles nodded. “Good. It’s been too long since the three of us actually sat down together.”

Beck gave a faint smile. “You’re the one who’s always busy.”

Miles laughed. “Look who’s talking.”

The three of them stood near the balcony area of the banquet hall, the city lights glowing through the tall glass windows behind them.

Trevor’s expression was relaxed as he chatted, but every so often his gaze drifted across the room.

Not toward the entrance.

But toward the group where Celeste and Matthias were standing.

“So?”

“People said most of the guests left before it even officially ended.”

“That bad?”

“Yeah. Apparently once word spread that you two weren’t going, the crowd started thinning out.”

He looked up at Trevor.

“Especially after people heard you were at YodaVision instead.”

For a brief moment, silence fell between them.

Trevor didn’t say anything.

His expression remained calm, almost indifferent.

Miles sighed.

“Well… I guess these things happen in business circles.”

He locked his phone and shrugged.

“Anyway, Wynn probably expected it.”

Trevor took a slow sip of his drink.

Across the hall, Celeste laughed lightly at something a guest had said.

The sound carried faintly through the room.

Beck watched Trevor carefully.

“You know she hosted that banquet mainly for you.”

“Not really. Just catching my breath.”

Miles greeted her cheerfully.
