The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 660

The enormous banquet hall felt strangely hollow.

Crystal chandeliers still shone brightly, and the music continued to play softly in the background, but most of the tables were already empty. Only a few scattered guests remained, chatting politely before leaving.

Half an hour still remained before the banquet’s scheduled end.

    Yet it already felt over.

The Lockets and the Shaws forced polite smiles as they escorted the last guests out.

    “Thank you for coming.”

    “Please drive safely.”

    “We’ll keep in touch.”

But once another group of guests left, the smiles on their faces slowly faded.

    Harvey glanced around the hall.

“So many people left early…” he muttered quietly.

    No one responded.

    Everyone knew the reason.

    Trevor hadn’t come.

And the news that he had attended YodaVision’s banquet instead had spread quickly.

Even though they had explained it away as a matter of business priorities, the impact was obvious.

Across the hall, Wynn was still standing near the entrance.

Her posture remained elegant and straight.

But the emptiness of the hall was impossible to ignore.

    A staff member approached carefully.

“President Locket… should we move forward with the closing segment?”

Wynn glanced around the nearly deserted room.

    Then she nodded gently.

    “Yes.”

The host soon returned to the stage and announced the closing remarks.

The applause that followed sounded sparse and distant.

After the formal ending, the remaining guests quickly departed.

Within minutes, the once lively banquet hall became almost completely silent.

Only the staff remained, quietly beginning to clean up.

    The Lockets gathered nearby.

One of the elders finally spoke with a sigh.

“We shouldn’t have expected too much.”

Another added in a low voice,

“Trevor has been distant lately… everyone can see that.”

    Harvey frowned slightly.

“Maybe he really was busy tonight.”

    No one argued.

But no one looked convinced either.

Meanwhile, Wynn stood alone near the stage for a moment.

    Her phone suddenly vibrated.

For a split second, her heart jumped.

    But when she looked down—

It was only a routine message from the company secretary about tomorrow’s schedule.

    She locked the screen again.

    Her expression remained calm.

    Just then, Harvey walked over.

    “The guests have all left.”

    Wynn nodded.

    “Alright.”

    He hesitated before asking quietly,

“Do you want to go home now?”

For a brief moment, Wynn didn’t answer.

Her gaze drifted toward the entrance of the hall one last time.

    Empty.

    Completely empty.

    Then she smiled faintly.

    “Yes.”

    They began walking out together.

Outside, the night air was cold.

As Wynn stepped into the car, Harvey suddenly said,

“I heard Trevor went to YodaVision tonight.”

    Wynn paused for a second.

But when she spoke, her tone was steady.

“YodaVision is an important partner for Fleming Group.”

    Harvey looked at her carefully.

    “You’re not angry?”

    Wynn lowered her eyes slightly.

After a moment, she answered quietly,

    “No.”

    The car door closed.

The vehicle slowly drove away from the brightly lit hotel.

Behind them, the lights of the empty banquet hall gradually faded into the distance.
