The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 648
Did Trevor want to reconcile with Celeste?
If that was true, then why hadn’t he taken the initiative to break things off with Wynn?
Or had he been keeping his distance on purpose—waiting for Wynn to be the one to end it?
Or maybe… he still had feelings for her. It was just that Celeste had become more important.
When the Lockets and the Shaws found out that Trevor and Celeste hadn’t gone through with the divorce—and had even decided to postpone it for Jordyn’s sake—none of them were pleased.
After hearing that Trevor might be reconciling with Celeste yet still hadn’t broken things off with Wynn, Lilian and the others became convinced of one thing: deep down, Trevor still couldn’t let Wynn go.
“Wynn,” Patricia said seriously, “since Trevor still has you in his heart, you need to use that to your advantage.”
Ruby quickly chimed in, “Exactly. If he still cares about you, then if you were to accidentally get pregnant, he’d definitely put Celeste aside and marry you instead.”
Linda found the idea extremely persuasive. “That’s right!”
Wynn’s lashes trembled slightly.
This…
It really was a good idea.

The next day, just before noon, Wynn went to the Fleming Group again.
This time, she didn’t miss him.
When Trevor saw her, he paused briefly. “Why are you here?”
Wynn smiled, calm and poised. “I wanted to have lunch with you.”
Trevor looked at her for a moment. After a short silence, he looked away and nodded. “Alright. But you’ll have to wait until I finish what I’m working on.”
“Okay.”
Trevor returned to his desk, fully focused on his work. Wynn sat by the coffee table, sipping tea as she waited.
She watched his profile as he concentrated. She also remembered the hesitation in his expression earlier—the way he’d clearly wanted to refuse, yet ultimately agreed with a trace of resignation.
That alone convinced her he still had feelings for her.
If he didn’t, he wouldn’t have compromised.
After Trevor finished, they left the office together for lunch.
During the meal, Wynn brought up InnovaTech and her family’s tech company. She shared a few light, amusing stories from when she’d taken Jordyn out a couple of days earlier.
The only topic she avoided was the one that mattered most: where they stood.
She didn’t bring it up.
Neither did he.
That silence only reinforced her belief. Even if Trevor had developed feelings for Celeste, he still couldn’t completely let her go.
Still, although he didn’t mention ending things, Trevor found an excuse to leave shortly after lunch.
Wynn returned to her company as well.
When Linda and the others saw her back so soon, disappointment flashed across their faces.
“Wynn, why are you back already?” Linda asked.
She had assumed something would happen between Wynn and Trevor today—that Wynn might successfully get pregnant, and everything else would naturally fall into place.
Wynn responded evenly, “These things take time.”
What she had with Trevor wasn’t what it used to be. She needed the right opportunity. She couldn’t rush it.
The others nodded.
“That’s true. You can’t force it.”

The following day, Wynn contacted Jacob to get Trevor’s schedule. She then waited for him at the restaurant where he was attending a social engagement.
When Trevor saw her, he stopped.
The others present noticed her too and smiled. “Ms. Locket is here as well.”
Wynn returned the greetings, then walked over to Trevor.
“You’ve been so busy lately,” she said softly. “We haven’t had many chances to see each other. I happened to have some free time today, so I wanted to spend a little more time with you.”
Trevor listened and gave a quiet nod.
He didn’t seem upset at all.
