The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 647
Wynn went upstairs and called Miles.
He sounded surprised when he answered. “Why are you calling all of a sudden? Is something wrong?”
“Yes,” Wynn replied calmly. “I wanted to ask you for a small favor.”
In truth, she didn’t need his help at all. But to make the call seem natural, she brought up a minor issue and asked if he could handle it.
Once Miles realized it was nothing serious—something he could easily take care of—he agreed without hesitation. “Alright. I’ll have someone deal with it later.”
“Thanks.”
After a brief pause, Wynn added casually, “It’s been a while since we’ve seen each other. What have you been busy with lately?”
“Me?” Miles chuckled. “You know me. I don’t have much going on. It’s you guys who’ve all been so busy I can barely catch a glimpse of anyone.”
Wynn smiled faintly. “Jo’s been on break these past couple of days. I took her out yesterday and just got home this afternoon. If you’re bored, we could plan dinner in a couple of days.”
“Sure.”
In Miles’s mind, Trevor’s decision to postpone the divorce from Celeste was something he had already discussed with Wynn.
Hearing her mention that she’d been spending time with Jordyn—and noticing her relaxed tone—Miles assumed she hadn’t been too affected by the situation.
So he said, “Trevor and Celeste decided to delay the divorce because of Jo. If you spend more time with her, build a stronger bond, and help her rely less on Celeste, she’ll have an easier time accepting it later.”
Wynn’s grip tightened around her phone.
Delay the divorce?
So not only had Trevor and Celeste not gone to the courthouse, they had actually agreed to remain married—for now—for Jordyn’s sake?
But was it really about protecting Jordyn?
Or was Trevor deliberately using Jordyn as an excuse to avoid divorcing Celeste?
Wynn didn’t press Miles.
From the way he spoke in their group chats, she knew he had no idea what was truly going on between her and Trevor. In his mind, nothing had changed.
That was why, when she mentioned earlier that she had taken Jordyn out at Trevor’s request, Miles naturally assumed Trevor wanted her to grow closer to Jordyn—so the child would accept the divorce more easily in the future.
But Wynn knew the truth.
If Trevor was truly using Jordyn as a shield to delay the divorce, then what about Celeste?
Celeste adored Jordyn. And from what Wynn understood, Celeste didn’t seem to have anyone else in her life. Maybe she even still had feelings for Trevor.
If that were the case, it would make perfect sense for Celeste to agree to postpone the divorce.
Wynn’s expression darkened.
She chatted with Miles a few minutes longer before ending the call.
After sitting quietly for a while, she picked up her phone again—this time calling Jordyn.
Jordyn answered quickly. They exchanged a few light words before Wynn casually brought up what she really wanted to know.
“Jo… lately, when you go see your mom, does your dad still go with you?”
“As long as he has time, he does,” Jordyn replied. “He goes to keep Mom company.”
Then she asked, “Wynn, is something wrong?”
“Nothing,” Wynn said softly.
She only needed confirmation—whether Trevor had been using Jordyn, as before, as a reason to get close to Celeste.
And the answer was clear.
The decision to delay the divorce had most likely been pushed forward by Trevor himself.
