The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 643
The next day, Wynn took Jordyn out.
They visited all the places Jordyn had been wanting to see, and she had an amazing time.
By evening, Wynn said gently, “Jo, there’s a bonfire party here tonight, and they have activities tomorrow morning too. Do you want to stay one more night?”
Trevor and Celeste had both been too busy to spend time with her lately, and Jordyn had been feeling bored. Hearing that, she nodded eagerly. “Yes!”
“Then I’ll let your dad know.”
“Okay.”
Wynn picked up her phone. She had meant to call Trevor, but just before dialing, she changed her mind and sent a text instead.
The message went out quickly.
Lately, Trevor rarely answered her calls. Even when she texted him, he often replied late—if at all. She assumed this time would be no different.
Unexpectedly, his reply came not long after.
“Okay, I got it. Thanks.”
Wynn paused when she saw it, then typed another message. “Still busy?”
This time, the response took much longer.
“Yeah.”
He didn’t ask where they had gone. He didn’t ask whether they’d had fun.
Even though he replied, the tone felt distant—purely perfunctory.
Wynn stared at the screen for a long time. She wanted to ask if he had time tomorrow night, but in the end, she deleted the thought.
Instead, she sent, “Jo and I are going to grab dinner.”
After quite a while, he responded with a simple, “Okay.”
That night, Wynn and Jordyn checked into a hotel near the scenic area.
Back in the room, Jordyn called Trevor. He picked up almost immediately.
She had him on speaker, so Wynn could hear everything.
Trevor sounded like he was still in the car. As Jordyn excitedly recounted everything she’d done that day, he listened attentively, responding to each story with patience and warmth.
Not just Miles and the others—even Wynn had always felt that Trevor treated Jordyn exceptionally well.
Even during the best phase of their relationship, when Trevor had been deeply infatuated with her, Wynn had often sensed that in his heart, Jordyn came first.
And yet, before Jordyn turned three, he hadn’t liked her at all.
Wynn snapped out of her thoughts and joined the call. “Heading to a business engagement?”
“Yeah,” Trevor replied.
“Jo and I are probably staying another day. Do you have time to come over for a meal tomorrow?”
Jordyn missed him a little too. She quickly chimed in, “Yeah, Dad! Why don’t you come hang out with us for half a day tomorrow?”
Trevor didn’t give a clear answer. “I’ll see if I can make some time. If I can, I’ll let you know.”
Jordyn’s voice dipped slightly. “Okay…”
They chatted a bit longer. Just before hanging up, Trevor said politely, “Thanks for taking care of Jo these past two days.”
Wynn smiled softly. “It’s no trouble at all. Having Jo with me on this trip makes me really happy.”
