The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 637
Just then, Matthias leaned in to say something and accidentally caught a glimpse of the message on Celeste’s phone.
He froze. “Not get divorced? What does he mean by that?”
Did that mean Trevor didn’t want to divorce her anymore?
“No,” Celeste said calmly, already knowing what Matthias was thinking. “It’s for Jo.”
“She knows about the divorce?”
“No…”
Celeste briefly explained what had happened at the parents’ meeting.
Matthias fell silent for a long moment. “And you? What do you think?”
Trevor’s willingness to delay the divorce for their daughter honestly surprised him. It showed that, at the very least, Trevor truly cared about Jordyn.
If Trevor was willing to put the divorce on hold for their child… then she could do the same.
It was just—
Celeste hesitated before replying to Trevor’s message.
“I’ll think about it.”
His response came almost instantly. “Okay.”
By noon, Celeste and Matthias received a message from Zachary. Theodore was inviting them over for dinner that evening and wanted to know if they were available.
The last time Celeste had gone to the military base, she had helped Theodore with some matters. Back then, he’d said he would treat her to a meal when he had the chance.
They replied quickly.
After work, the two of them left the Fleming Group and were heading to the Robinson residence when they ran into Trevor and Wynn downstairs.
Trevor looked at them. “Not staying for dinner before you head out?”
Matthias curled his lips slightly and glanced at Wynn before replying with mild sarcasm, “No. We’ve got other plans.”
Celeste said nothing. She didn’t look at Trevor or Wynn. She simply got into the car with Matthias and left.
It was Celeste’s first time visiting the Robinson residence.
As soon as their car pulled into the courtyard, someone stepped out to greet them.
It was Jorge.
He knew Theodore had invited Harold and Zachary for dinner. When he heard the car, Theodore had asked him to come welcome the guests. He had assumed it would only be Matthias.
But instead, it was Matthias… and Celeste.
She was here too.
The moment Jorge saw her, his expression turned cold.
Matthias noticed immediately. Folding his arms with a faint half-smile, he said, “What’s wrong, Mr. Robinson? Is this how you welcome your guests?”
The frost on Jorge’s face eased slightly. “Mr. Yoder, you’re overthinking it,” he replied flatly.
Then he glanced at Celeste. “Please, come in.”
Matthias smirked, ignored the tone, and walked inside with Celeste.
When Theodore saw them, he stood up warmly. “Cel, Matt, you’re here! Come, sit.”
Celeste and Matthias greeted him together. “Mr. Robinson.”
Theodore smiled and nodded.
Noticing Jorge standing nearby with his lips pressed tightly together, clearly displeased, Theodore said, “What are you standing there for? Go pour some tea for our guests.”
Jorge said nothing. He walked over and silently prepared tea for Celeste and Matthias.
But before he could serve it, Theodore stepped forward first and personally handed a cup to Celeste.
“Cel, have some tea. Thank you for your hard work last time.”
Jorge stiffened.
Celeste accepted the cup politely. “Mr. Robinson, you’re too kind. It was what I should have done.”
Theodore smiled. “Even so, you helped me a great deal.”
Jorge’s frown deepened.
