The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 621
After reading Trevor’s message, Celeste handed her phone to Matthias.
She had already told him about Quincy.
To be honest, Matthias was tempted. He cleared his throat lightly. “This project really is promising. It’s worth discussing.”
Almost as soon as he finished speaking, Quincy called Celeste. After the call ended, Quincy immediately sent her an email.
Once she finished reading it, Celeste sent Trevor a brief message: Time and location.
The message had barely gone through when Trevor replied with an address, adding, I’m on my way.
Celeste responded, Got it.
Matthias actually wanted to go in Celeste’s place to discuss the cooperation with Quincy, but he still had other matters to handle. After saying a few words to her, he left.
Kieran had overheard Celeste’s call with Quincy and assumed the person she was meeting had nothing to do with her ex-husband, so he didn’t think much of it.
Half an hour later, Celeste arrived at the restaurant.
As soon as she got there, Trevor sent her the private room number.
When she entered the room, Trevor hadn’t arrived yet.
A few minutes later, the door opened and Trevor walked in. “Sorry to keep you waiting.”
Celeste had assumed he would bring his assistant. Seeing him alone, she was momentarily surprised.
She withdrew her gaze and replied calmly, “I just got here too.”
Trevor sat down. “Have you ordered?”
“Not yet.”
Quincy would arrive later and had told them to order first. When the waiter brought the menu, Trevor handed it to Celeste. “Order whatever you like. I’ll order for Quincy later.”
Celeste didn’t say anything. She flipped through the menu and began ordering.
Trevor remained silent as well, but he poured her a cup of tea and placed it in front of her.
At that moment, someone happened to pass by the door.
When Lilian, Ruby, and the rest of the family saw Trevor and Celeste inside the private room, their expressions changed instantly.
The reason was simple.
That morning, Wynn had already messaged Trevor, asking him to have lunch together. Yet up to now, he hadn’t replied at all.
He ignored Wynn’s message, but here he was—having lunch with Celeste, even showing her quiet consideration.
Linda clenched her teeth. Before she could act, Lilian started to rush forward, clearly intending to confront them. But Ruby grabbed her arm in time.
Lilian shot Ruby a cold glance.
She usually appeared aloof and distant, rarely interacting with the younger generation. That single look made Ruby’s heart skip. She didn’t dare act recklessly and pulled Linda away instead.
Lilian then looked at Wynn.
After taking one last look at Trevor and Celeste inside the room, Wynn withdrew her gaze and turned to leave.
Patricia’s expression was equally grim, her wrinkled hands clenched tightly together.
They left quickly, and neither Celeste nor Trevor noticed any of it.
After finishing her order, Celeste handed the menu back to Trevor.
As Trevor continued ordering, he chatted with her—but everything he talked about was work-related. His tone was entirely professional, distant, and restrained.
They spoke for more than ten minutes before Quincy finally arrived.
After greeting them, the first thing Quincy noticed was the distance between Trevor’s seat and Celeste’s.
That space carried exactly the sense of unfamiliarity and restraint that divorced couples were supposed to have.
Realizing this, Quincy cleared his throat lightly, swiftly changed the subject, and took his seat.
