The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 615
Wynn took a shaky breath, her fingers tightening around the phone. “I… I need your help with the government bid. We—InnovaTech—can’t secure it without your support.”
There was a pause on the line. Trevor’s tone was calm, but Wynn could detect the faint distance in it. “The bid… right. I’ll see what I can do, but I can’t promise anything immediately. I’m tied up with meetings and inspections until I return.”
Wynn swallowed hard, her heart sinking slightly. “I… I understand. But this is really important… for the company, and for the team. If we don’t succeed, it could set us back months.”
Trevor exhaled slowly. “I know. I get it, Wynn. I’ll do what I can from here, but you’ll have to manage the rest with your team. I trust you to handle it until I get back.”
Wynn hesitated, wanting to push further, but she knew pushing now wouldn’t help. She forced a small nod, though Trevor couldn’t see it. “Okay. I understand. Thank you, Trevor.”
“Don’t thank me yet. Just make sure your team stays focused. I’ll check in when I can.”
Wynn’s lips pressed into a thin line as she ended the call. She lowered the phone slowly, her mind racing. The bid, Trevor’s distant response, and Celeste looming in the background—all of it weighed heavily on her.
Ruby, who had been standing nearby, leaned in quietly. “Well… at least he answered this time.”
Wynn nodded faintly, though her eyes remained distant. She had to rally the team—and herself—before the next forty-eight hours became another uphill battle.
It was going to be a long couple of days.
