The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 603
Since the island wasn’t crowded yet, Jordyn felt she hadn’t had enough fun and decided to save some activities for when it officially opened to the public.
That afternoon, around 4:00 pm, they left the island.
By the time they reached the shore, darkness had already fallen.
Trevor turned toward her. “What do you want to eat later?”
Jordyn immediately raised her hand. “Anything’s fine!”
Then she turned to Celeste. “Mom, what about you? What do you want?”
Celeste had been about to say she wouldn’t join them for dinner, but seeing how happy Jordyn was, she didn’t. “Anything is fine for me too.”
Trevor nodded. “Then I’ll pick the place.”
“Okay!” Jordyn replied enthusiastically.
Over an hour later, they arrived at a private dining restaurant. The place was elegantly decorated, and luxury cars filled the entrance.
Once inside the private room, Celeste realized it was an authentic Youtopian-style restaurant.
She had been born in Youtopia, and while she was used to all kinds of cuisine, her family’s meals had always leaned Youtopian.
Trevor handed her the menu. “These are their signature dishes. Want to try them? See if they’re authentic?”
Wynn was also from Youtopia. Unlike Celeste, she had grown up there, so her palate leaned even more heavily toward Youtopian cuisine. Not to mention that both the Lockets and the Shaws were now in Baumond…
Celeste lowered her eyes at the menu, paused for a moment, then accepted it in a flat tone. “Thank you.”
She didn’t have much of an appetite, so she only casually ordered a few dishes.
When the food arrived, Celeste tasted a few bites and found the flavors genuinely good, though she didn’t eat much.
Jordyn, in contrast, ate happily. Seeing her mother pick at her food, she asked, “Mom, you don’t like it?”
Celeste shook her head. “No, I’m just not very hungry.”
Trevor paused, seeming to understand, and said nothing.
After more than half an hour, they finished eating and prepared to leave. Jordyn was reluctant to part from her mother.
As they walked out of the private room, she hugged Celeste’s leg and asked in a muffled voice, “Mom, when will you come back to live at home? You’ve been staying at Granny’s for so long. Are you not done with work? Can’t you work if you live at home?”
Celeste hesitated, looking to Trevor for guidance.
Trevor bent down and picked Jordyn up. “It’s more convenient for your mom to stay at Granny’s place. When she’s really finished with her work, she’ll come back home.”
Jordyn frowned slightly. “Okay.”
Then she reached toward Celeste. “I want Mom to hold me.”
Celeste lifted her from Trevor’s arms, but in the process, her handbag slipped.
Trevor reached for it. “I’ll hold it for you.”
“No need. It won’t fall,” Celeste said. Helping her carry it felt too intimate given their current relationship, and she didn’t want it to seem that way.
Trevor didn’t insist.
When the elevator arrived, he went in with her. Neither of them noticed that just before they entered, a group of people had also been walking toward the area.
When they saw them, they froze.
Linda clenched her teeth. “It’s… them. Why is Trev with them again?”
Wynn said nothing.
Ruby forced a smile, her tone awkward. “Celeste is also from Youtopia.”
The implication was clear: Trevor had deliberately brought Celeste here to please her.
