The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 602
However, once the family of three arrived at the underwater villa, Jordyn was so excited that sleep was the last thing on her mind.
After a quick shower, she lay on the bed, eyes wide, watching the schools of fish glide gracefully above.
Perhaps sensing it wouldn’t be appropriate for them to share a bed, Trevor had arranged a luxury family room with two beds placed side by side. Tonight, although they were in the same room, Trevor and Celeste would sleep separately from each other.
After her shower, Celeste changed into the pajamas she had brought and sat down beside Jordyn, who was still lying on the bed.
Trevor emerged from the other bathroom after his shower and sat on the other bed.
Seeing Jordyn’s delight, he asked, “You like it that much?”
“I do!” Jordyn replied enthusiastically, rolling toward Celeste. “Mom, I want to sleep with you.”
“Okay,” Celeste said with a smile.
Eventually, Jordyn’s excitement gave way to sleep. After clinging happily to Celeste for a while, she turned her head and drifted off.
Celeste tucked the blanket around her, and Trevor glanced over from the other bed. “Good night.”
Celeste paused for a moment, then replied softly, “Good night.”
Soon after, Trevor turned off the lights, and the room fell silent.
The next morning, Celeste woke to find herself alone in the room. It took her a moment to fully wake.
After washing up, she stepped outside and immediately ran into Trevor, who had already taken Jordyn out and brought her back.
“Morning,” he greeted with a slight smile.
“…Morning,” Celeste replied.
Jordyn ran toward her, holding a small bucket. “Mom! Dad took me to comb the beach early this morning. We caught so much seafood!”
“Really?” Celeste said, rubbing her daughter’s little face. She added, noting the brisk wind, “Wasn’t it cold going out so early?”
“It was cold at first, but not anymore,” Jordyn said cheerfully.
Celeste was about to respond when Trevor asked, “Have you had breakfast?”
“I haven’t,” she said.
Trevor pulled out his phone. “What do you want to eat? I’ll have someone send it over.”
“It’s fine. I’ll contact someone myself,” Celeste replied.
Trevor nodded and didn’t insist. “Alright.”
While Celeste was having breakfast, she watched Trevor accompany Jordyn as they organized the little one’s treasures collected over the past two days.
Her phone rang suddenly. It was Matthias.
“What are you doing? Free for lunch?”
“I’m on vacation. Maybe next time,” Celeste answered honestly.
“Vacation?” Matthias asked, intrigued.
Hearing that she was out for fun, he pressed further. “Where did you go? With your family? Was it fun?”
“A private island,” Celeste said. “With Jordyn and… Trevor. As for fun… it’s just so-so.” She took a bite of seafood porridge as she spoke.
Matthias raised an eyebrow. “You actually went out with them? Left early in the morning?”
“We came yesterday morning,” Celeste replied calmly.
“So, you took the kid and stayed out overnight together?” Matthias asked, catching on.
Celeste hummed softly. “It was just the two of us taking the kid out for fun. We’re minding our own business and not crossing each other’s lines. There’s nothing more to it.”
As parents, she knew, they were simply sharing the responsibility of taking care of their child.
