The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 601
After fishing for more than half an hour, Jordyn lost interest and became completely absorbed by the colorful coral reefs instead.
When she learned they weren’t allowed to collect any, she was disappointed for quite a while.
One of the amusement parks on the island was decorated in a bold punk style, which Jordyn immediately loved.
After diving and dinner, Celeste and Trevor took Jordyn to the amusement park.
They rode a few attractions, and perhaps because Celeste had been with her the entire time, Jordyn suddenly tugged on her hand and said, “Mom, do you want to ride the Ferris wheel? Let’s ride it, okay?”
Celeste actually did want to. Once they were up there, they’d be able to overlook the entire island.
She nodded.
Jordyn turned to Trevor. “Dad, are you coming too?”
Trevor glanced at Celeste, then toward the Ferris wheel. “Sure.”
The lighting and decorations around them were steeped in a strong punk aesthetic.
As the Ferris wheel slowly rose, the view unfolded beneath them. Jordyn’s eyes widened with excitement as she moved around the cabin, constantly peering outside.
In contrast, Trevor and Celeste were much quieter.
They took in the night view as well, but after only a few glances, both looked away.
Celeste couldn’t help noticing that although most of the island’s lights were on and the scenery was beautiful, there were hardly any people. The vast amusement park felt like an empty city—too desolate.
Once her excitement faded, Jordyn seemed to notice it too. Her smile dimmed slightly as she said, “It would be better if there were more people. With so few people, it feels kind of boring.”
Trevor smiled and lifted Jordyn into his arms as she leaned against him. “Once the island opens up, lots of tourists will come here to vacation. When that happens, it’ll be lively. We can come back then.”
Only then did Jordyn brighten. “Okay!”
She stayed nestled in Trevor’s arms and reached out toward Celeste. “Mom, you have to come with us next time too.”
Celeste lowered her eyes. “If I have time, I’ll come with you.”
That was what she said—but she knew that once the island opened to the public, the three of them would never come here together again.
To keep things between her and Trevor from becoming known, he would only allow her to accompany Jordyn here while the island was still closed to outsiders.
Lost in thought, she lifted her head and met Trevor’s gaze.
She paused. Before she could react, he smiled faintly and suddenly asked, “What do you think of this place?”
They had spent the entire day accompanying Jordyn. In truth, aside from what was necessary, the two of them barely spoke to each other. Celeste didn’t initiate conversation, and although Trevor’s attitude toward her seemed gentle, he rarely spoke either.
She didn’t know why he was asking. Turning her face away, she answered honestly, “It’s pretty nice. It’ll be a great vacation destination.”
Hearing that, Trevor said, “If you like it, once it opens, bring some friends here.”
Celeste didn’t respond.
Just then, the Ferris wheel came to a stop.
She snapped back to herself. With Jordyn in her arms, she couldn’t stand up easily, so Trevor stepped over and took Jordyn from her.
By then, sleepiness had already crept into Jordyn’s eyes, but she still remembered how much she’d been looking forward to staying in the underwater villa that night.
She yawned again and again, stubbornly refusing to sleep—holding on until they finally reached the underwater villa, where she at last gave in.
