The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 597
After setting a time, Celeste arrived at the courthouse early the next morning.
Trevor was just as punctual—he’d even arrived before her.
The process went smoothly.
Once everything was finished, Trevor looked at her and said, “In a couple of days, Jo wants to go out to sea for a trip. Are you free?”
Celeste paused briefly before replying, “Not sure. We’ll talk about it later.”
Trevor didn’t push. “Alright.”
Celeste turned and left without looking back.
…
The news that they had gone to the courthouse again to handle the divorce procedures quickly reached Miles.
That afternoon, he tagged Trevor in their group chat.
“I heard you finally managed to make time this morning to go to the courthouse and handle the paperwork? Seriously, after all these times, when are you two actually getting divorced?”
Trevor didn’t reply.
But Wynn saw the message immediately.
It was only then that she realized Trevor and Celeste had gone to the courthouse to deal with the divorce paperwork again.
As she was reading the messages, Linda happened to be there as well.
She knew that Wynn, Trevor, Miles, and Beck shared a group chat. Seeing Wynn checking it—and assuming it wasn’t anything private—she leaned over to take a look.
At a glance, she saw Miles’s message tagging Trevor.
Her face lit up instantly. “Trev and Celeste went to file for divorce? I knew it! Trev still cares about you more!”
Lilian and Ruby had brought afternoon tea to Wynn’s office and were there as well.
Hearing that, both of them turned to look.
Ruby spoke first, clearly pleased. “Trevor filed for divorce with Celeste? Really?”
Linda nodded eagerly. “Really! Miles said it in the group chat!”
Lilian glanced at Wynn’s expression but said nothing. She walked over instead.
Seeing that, Ruby followed.
After reading Miles’s message, Lilian paused, falling silent for a moment.
Ruby had been happy at first, but noticing Lilian’s reaction—and thinking more carefully about Miles’s words—she sensed something was off.
Trevor going to the courthouse again with Celeste should have been good news.
From Miles’s message, Trevor had already gone through with it.
Yet judging by Wynn’s expression, Trevor clearly hadn’t told her anything about it beforehand.
And even if Trevor and Celeste really had gone to the courthouse, that didn’t necessarily mean Trevor wanted the divorce.
It was entirely possible that Celeste wanted it, kept pressing him, and left him with no choice but to go along.
Linda realized this too.
She hurriedly added, “I still think Trev definitely wants to divorce Celeste. Mom, Aunt Lizzy—you can’t lose confidence in Wynn.”
Ruby and Lilian weren’t lacking confidence in Wynn.
In fact, to know whether Trevor truly wanted the divorce, all they had to do was wait.
Once the next mandatory waiting period ended, would Trevor still use work or other excuses to avoid going with Celeste to finalize it?
Thinking that, Lilian tightened her grip around her coffee cup, her gaze darkening slightly, though she remained silent.
Seeing this, Ruby stopped talking as well.
Wynn lowered her eyes and looked at her phone.
In the group chat, Trevor still hadn’t replied to Miles.
It was as if he simply didn’t want to discuss the matter there at all.
After a long moment, she slowly set her phone down.
