The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 592
Wynn had known about the diamond for a long time.
Yet she had never mentioned it to the family.
If she hadn’t brought it up, was it really, as Linda suggested, because she hadn’t taken it seriously?
If Wynn had asked Trevor about it after finding out—and confirmed that there was a legitimate reason for him giving the diamond to Celeste—then there truly would have been no reason to dwell on it.
In that case, it would make sense that she hadn’t proactively told anyone.
But that diamond was worth over four billion dollars—more than everything InnovaTech and Trevor had ever given Wynn combined.
Knowing how deeply everyone cared about where that diamond ended up, yet remaining completely silent after discovering it had been given to someone else—no matter how one looked at it, that was hard to justify.
If Wynn believed her relationship with Trevor was solid, and that after marriage she would receive far more—enough that a single diamond didn’t matter—then her silence could be understood.
But if that silence was intentional concealment…
Ruby had thought of this as well.
Seeing the tension on everyone’s faces, she quickly said, “I still think Trevor and Wynn’s relationship is very strong. Let’s not overthink it. Besides, if there’s anything we want to know, we can just ask Wynn directly when she comes back, right?”
Linda immediately followed up, “That’s right. Once Wynn comes back—”
Before she could finish, the door opened, and Wynn walked in.
Everyone turned to look at her at the same time.
Lilian studied her, a flicker crossing her eyes. She was the first to stand and said gently, “Wynn, you’re back? Are you hungry? The kitchen—”
Almost simultaneously, Linda blurted out, “Wynn, I just told everyone how Trev gave that four-billion-dollar diamond to Celeste.”
Wynn’s steps came to an abrupt halt.
Fortunately, she reacted quickly, and her emotions didn’t show too clearly.
She gave a calm hum in acknowledgment.
Looking at Wynn, no one seemed to know how to continue the conversation.
Still, given how serious the matter was, Ruby couldn’t hold back. With an awkward smile, she said, “When Linda mentioned it earlier, we didn’t really believe it. So… what she said was true?”
Before Wynn could respond, Ruby continued, “That diamond was incredibly expensive! How could Trevor just give it to Celeste? What did he say about it?”
Wynn lowered her gaze and didn’t answer.
Lilian glanced at Ruby and said, “Alright, Ruby. Let Wynn rest first and have some water.”
“Oh—right, right,” Ruby said hurriedly.
But at that moment, Wynn spoke. “I didn’t ask Trevor about it. And he didn’t take the initiative to tell me either.”
Lennox and Patricia were both perceptive people.
In fact, the moment Wynn hadn’t responded right away after coming in, they already had a vague sense of the situation.
Even so, hearing Wynn say it herself still stunned them. They stared at her in disbelief.
For a moment, no one spoke.
Because that sentence was an admission—that Wynn had likely already noticed Trevor’s change in attitude toward Celeste, and that in the face of that change, she had chosen silence.
Noticing everyone’s gaze, Wynn said nothing.
It wasn’t that she wanted to keep hiding it. She simply knew how sharp her family was when it came to matters like this.
More than that, she understood that once the seed of suspicion had been planted—given Trevor’s growing initiative toward Celeste and his repeated avoidance of the divorce—even if she wanted to hide it, she wouldn’t be able to for much longer.
