The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 570
That day, after having lunch with Trevor and Jordyn, Celeste went home. Later that night, Jordyn called again—but not to Celeste’s cellphone. She called the Rodriguez residence’s landline. Betty was the one who answered.
When she heard why Jordyn was calling, the old lady immediately laughed. “Jo, you want to go camping? Your mother’s free. Come over tomorrow morning.”
Celeste happened to be walking downstairs and frowned when she heard that. After hanging up, Betty patted her hand meaningfully. “Jo is your daughter. There’s nothing wrong with spending more time with her.”
Meanwhile, not long after Jordyn ended the call, Wynn called Trevor. When she learned that he and Celeste would be taking Jordyn on a camping trip the next day, she paused.
“Trevor… can you not go tomorrow? There’s somewhere I want you to go with me.”
“Sorry,” Trevor said. “I already promised Jo. It wouldn’t be right to back out last minute.”
They had just seen Celeste earlier that day. Did Jordyn really want to see her that much? And was it truly Jordyn who wanted to go camping… or was Trevor just keeping up an act?
Of course, Wynn didn’t say any of that. After a brief silence, she said, “Alright, it’s fine. Next time, then.”
The next morning, when Jordyn arrived at the Rodriguez residence, Celeste froze the moment she saw Trevor. She had already been surprised to see him yesterday—and seeing him again today still caught her off guard. She genuinely hadn’t expected him two days in a row.
But since Betty had already agreed on her behalf, she couldn’t back out. So she got into the car.
The campsite was a place Trevor and Jordyn had booked in advance. On the drive there, it was mostly Jordyn chatting with Celeste. Trevor spoke here and there, but for most of the ride, he was quiet.
When they arrived, they took a walk around the grounds. As usual, Jordyn and Celeste walked in front while Trevor followed behind. Even though he barely said a word, anyone watching would’ve assumed the three of them were a family. And with their striking looks, plenty of people turned to stare.
After their walk, they began setting up the tent. Wanting Jordyn to experience the fun of camping, Trevor hadn’t arranged for anyone else to set it up ahead of time—he planned to do it himself.
Jordyn happily ran around gathering the supplies. Once she brought everything over, Trevor skimmed the instruction manual first, then handed it to Celeste.
Celeste paused but accepted it. Jordyn leaned in to read along with her.
After Trevor finished reading, he pulled on gloves and got to work. When they reached the end of the manual, he asked, “Jo, did you remember all the steps?”
Jordyn nodded eagerly. “Dad, I remember them!”
“Good. Then bring me whatever parts I need next, okay?”
“Okay!”
Since it was just the three of them, Celeste had no choice but to help. Jordyn really did have a sharp memory and seemed to understand the instructions clearly. Whenever Celeste or Trevor asked for a part, she almost never grabbed the wrong one. And each time she got it right, Trevor praised her—so she stayed cheerful and energetic the whole time, not tired at all.
They didn’t mess up a single step, and before long, the tent was fully set up.
