The Breaking Point of Love or The Zillionaire’s Abandoned Wife Chapter 560
Trevor and Wynn also noticed Celeste and Matthias.
Wynn’s expression was cold and unreadable, while Trevor offered them a polite nod—nothing more than basic courtesy.
Celeste and Matthias, however, acted as if they hadn’t seen them at all.
Luther noticed Trevor’s arrival and smiled. “Trevor, let’s head upstairs.”
Trevor nodded.
Watching their backs as they walked away, Matthias let out a short, derisive laugh. “They’re already acting that arrogant before the divorce is even finalized. I can’t imagine how unbearable they’ll be afterward.
“If it weren’t for YodaVision, for Prof, and for me, they’d probably eat you alive.”
Celeste pressed her lips together but said nothing.
A moment later, Zachary and Nadine arrived.
Meanwhile, Trevor, along with the Lockets and the Shaws, were being personally escorted by the restaurant manager.
Because of the polite small talk, they were delayed just long enough to cross paths with Celeste’s group again near the elevators.
From the way Nadine was holding Celeste’s hand, it was obvious she did so out of genuine affection.
Seeing how warmly Zachary and Nadine treated Celeste, the smiles on the Lockets’ and Shaws’ faces instantly faded.
They’d heard that Celeste had become cooperative about the divorce and wanted it wrapped up as soon as possible.
Considering Zachary and Nadine were both well-respected in their fields—and Matthias had limitless potential—Celeste wasn’t exactly losing anything by letting Trevor go.
No wonder she was so willing to move on.
Patricia’s voice was cold and detached. “She really does have good fortune.”
First Trevor, now Matthias.
Her tone was quiet—too quiet for Trevor, who was still speaking with the manager, to hear.
But Lilian, Ruby, and the others heard her clearly.
Patricia had said what everyone else was thinking.
Celeste was simply too lucky.
Even after divorcing Trevor, she would still live an enviable life.
Linda’s eyes burned with envy and resentment as she glared at Celeste’s retreating figure.
Celeste and her group took the escalator on the other side, so they didn’t cross paths with Trevor again.
After dinner, she and Matthias stopped by Zachary’s place to go over some business matters.
By then, Celeste’s visit schedule for the research center at the military base was nearly finalized.
With her dates still uncertain, it was clear that going through a mutual-consent divorce would be much smoother than pushing it through the courts.
Once that was settled, and after leaving Zachary’s place, Celeste pulled out her phone and sent Trevor a message:
“Let’s finalize the divorce paperwork the day after tomorrow.”
The day after tomorrow was Monday.
After sending the message, she put her phone away and drove home.
When she arrived, there was still no reply.
Later that night, after showering and drying her hair, her phone finally chimed.
It was Trevor.
“Alright.”
Celeste set her phone down.
