Trevor had been busy the whole time and didn’t have time to bother with Miles.

Miles became speechless.

Beck paused, turned his head to glance at him, and said with clear disdain, “You came all this way just to gossip?”

Miles laughed. “You’re just figuring that out now?”

“No, seriously,” Miles insisted. “I’ve met Ms. Hunt myself. She really is great. You’re really not the least bit interested?”

Seeing the look Beck gave him, Miles quickly added, “I just think, well, you’re not exactly young anymore either. It makes sense that your mom is anxious. But if you don’t like this Ms. Hunt, then what kind of woman do you like? Tell me, I’ll introduce

Beck put down his pen. “Say one more word and I’ll have someone throw you out.”

Miles quickly shut his mouth. 1

Seeing that Beck was clearly at the end of his patience, Miles decided not to push it further. “Fine, you’re busy at noon, but surely you’re free for dinner?”

“Not free.”

“What? You’re not actually mad, are you?“.

Beck paused, then said, “I’ll be heading over to YodaVision later. I already have plans for the evening.”

Miles figured Beck meant business–related matters, and probably had dinner with Matthias and the others after the meeting. Since it was official business, he didn’t push further and left feeling bored.
At around 3:00 pm, Beck headed to YodaVision.

When Celeste found out he had arrived, she put down her work and went to meet him.

The moment Beck saw her, he stood up from the sofa almost immliately. “It’s been a while.”

Celeste nodded. “It has.”

It really had been quite a while since they last saw each other.

Truthfully, this matter didn’t require Beck to come in person. But he made the trip anyway just to see her.

Celeste didn’t expect him to come personally either. Still, she didnt think much of it—just assumed it meant he took their collaboration seriously.

Kieran only found out later that Beck had come to YodaVision.

He happened to need to speak with Celeste urgently and went to the meeting room to find her.

Beck had been smiling and chatting with Celeste, but the moment he saw Kieran walk in, the smile on his face faded noticeably.

Kieran’s gaze toward Beck also carried a hint of coldness.

However, considering Celeste wasn’t officially divorced yet, and that both he and Beck had feelings for her, he figured there was no point in playing the rivalry game for now.
