The Almighty Dominance Chapter 602
“Wait—wait!”
Lu Nan’s voice sliced across the arena as he stepped forward and bowed toward the referee.
“I clearly heard him say he surrendered. Shouldn’t you be declaring my victory?”
The referee turned, his gaze settling on Alex.
“Did you just say you surrender?”
Alex inclined his head. “Yes.”
A brief pause.
“But that was before he insulted my parents. Now… I have no intention of surrendering.”
Lu Nan’s expression twisted.
“A man’s word, once spoken, should never be taken back!”
“And a man,” Alex replied coldly, lifting his chin, “doesn’t let anyone insult his parents and walk away.”
A faint, dangerous smile touched his lips.
“When you lose… I’ll take your tongue.”
A ripple of unease spread through the crowd.
“Referee!” Lu Nan snapped. “Declare my victory!”
The referee raised a hand, firm and final.
“The match will proceed. Jun Jiu has withdrawn his surrender and will continue. You will fight.”
He paused briefly.
“Since this is an alchemy duel, have you both chosen what you’ll refine?”
Lu Nan’s jaw tightened.
What should have been an effortless win had slipped through his fingers. Now he actually had to compete—and against this stubborn fool.
Still… it didn’t matter.
Jun Jiu couldn’t even refine proper pills, let alone an elixir.
“I’ll explain the rules,” Lu Nan said, regaining composure. “The Medicine Pavilion provides the herbs. We select our own ingredients and refine an elixir that enhances cultivation. The one with the highest concentration of inner force wins.”
At his signal, attendants stepped forward. Tables were arranged swiftly, covered in spirit herbs, rare fruits, and exotic flowers glowing with faint auras.
The scent alone was intoxicating.
Lu Nan didn’t hesitate.
He had prepared for this long ago.
With practiced ease, he selected his ingredients, moving with precision. One by one, they dropped into his cauldron. Flames ignited beneath it as he channeled his inner force, the fire roaring to life. Heat pulsed outward as his energy fused with the ingredients.
Across from him—
Alex didn’t move.
Not at first.
He walked slowly along the tables, eyes scanning every herb, every fruit, every flower. He crouched to inspect the firewood, testing its dryness—details most would ignore.
Minutes passed.
Ten… maybe more.
To the crowd, it looked like hesitation.
Indecision.
But inside Alex’s mind, calculations ran endlessly—combinations forming, collapsing, refining—until only the most optimal path remained.
Finally—
He stopped.
And began selecting his ingredients.
A subtle shift passed through the crowd as people noticed something odd.
Alex reached for a cauldron.
Not a polished, high-grade one—
But a cheap, ordinary cauldron. The kind beginners used.
Silence.
Then laughter erupted.
“Is he serious?”
“That thing?”
“Does he even know what he’s doing?”
Mockery spread instantly.
Alex didn’t even glance at them.
He set the battered cauldron down and began.
It was old. Blackened. Scarred by countless burns—like it had lived a hundred lifetimes already.
Across from him, Lu Nan’s cauldron gleamed jade-green, etched with golden lines. It radiated prestige and power. Even the flames seemed to bow to it.
The contrast was almost humiliating.
The crowd didn’t hold back.
But Alex?
He remained calm.
Focused.
Unshaken.
Alchemy wasn’t fast. Everyone knew that. It could take hours—sometimes days.
So when—
Bang.
Alex slammed his cauldron shut.
The sound cracked through the arena like thunder.
Every head snapped toward him.
Five pills shot into the air, gleaming faintly as they spun. Alex caught them smoothly and sealed them in a porcelain bottle, locking in their energy.
Silence fell.
“I’m done,” he said.
Then—
Laughter exploded again.
“What a joke,” Lu Nan scoffed without looking up. “I’ve studied alchemy for decades. I’ve never seen such a ridiculous combination.”
He sneered.
“You just threw random herbs together because you can’t refine a real pill.”
Alex stepped closer.
Slow. Controlled.
“I know every herb you picked,” he said quietly.
“And I know exactly what you’re making.”
His gaze sharpened.
“An elixir that adds ten years of cultivation. Am I right?”
Lu Nan straightened, pride flashing.
“Then you should also know to admit defeat.”
Alex laughed softly.
“Admit defeat… to you?”
He stepped closer still.
“I don’t have time to wait another four hours… for something that only adds ten years.”
And then—
Smack.
The sound was sharp. Violent.
Alex’s hand struck Lu Nan’s face, snapping his head sideways.
His focus shattered.
The cauldron trembled—
Then—
Boom.
It exploded.
Fragments flew. The half-formed pill disintegrated instantly.
Ruined.
Completely ruined.
The arena fell into suffocating silence.
Lu Nan staggered, blood filling his mouth. When his tongue brushed his teeth—
Four were gone.
“HOW DARE YOU!”
Elder Ang shot to his feet, fury erupting.
“This is a pill duel! How dare you—”
“After I cut his tongue for insulting my parents,” Alex said flatly, cutting him off, “we can discuss rules.”
Before anyone could react—
Smack.
Another strike.
Six more teeth shattered.
Lu Nan collapsed, barely conscious.
“You dare!” Elder Ang roared, leaping forward, sword drawn. “I’ll kill you!”
He shot toward Alex—
And froze.
Mid-motion.
Then—
Dropped to his knees.
Both hands raised… offering his sword.
To Alex.
Silence.
Absolute.
Alex took the sword.
Turned.
Walked toward Lu Nan.
“No—don’t you dare—!” Elder Ang shouted, unable to move.
Alex didn’t even glance at him.
“Oh, so he insults my parents… and I let him go?”
His voice was calm. Cold.
“Then he should learn… consequences.”
The blade flashed.
Clean.
Precise.
Lu Nan’s scream cut off as his tongue was severed.
“You will die for this!” Elder Ang roared—but remained kneeling, powerless.
Alex walked over to him.
“The disciple is this pathetic…” he said mildly. “No wonder the master failed.”
Smack.
The sound echoed across the arena.
He slapped Elder Ang.
The crowd recoiled.
No one breathed.
“How dare—”
Smack.
Another strike.
Sharper.
Harder.
Alex leaned in slightly.
“Say one more word… and you’ll get another.”
Elder Ang went silent, face burning with rage and humiliation.
“Jun Jiu…” Li Qingxue’s voice cut in.
Alex didn’t look at her.
He simply tossed the porcelain bottle.
She caught it instinctively.
And just like that—
Alex turned his back on the arena…
And walked away.
Leaving behind silence.
Shock.
And a moment no one there would ever forget.
