    The Almighty Dominance Chapter 560

This time, Bai Xi made a fatal mistake.

    He had forgotten one thing.

    He was facing Alex.

Alex shouted without hesitation, “Immortal Li. Immortal Sun. My uncle just said that if I dared to take the seal, he would kill me. He clearly has no respect for the two of you!”

Bai Xi’s face drained of all color.

    His mind went blank.

He had never imagined Alex would do this—throwing out the ultimate snitch card and dragging the immortals directly into the conflict without a shred of hesitation.

Sun Muran’s expression turned glacial. She took a single step forward.

“So, Bai Xi, you little pig,” she said calmly. “Do you truly have no regard for us? Do you want me to remove your head before you’re willing to hand over the position?”

The pressure crashed down like a collapsing mountain.

Bai Xi’s legs buckled. His knees slammed into the ground against his will.

“I’m sorry! I’m sorry!” he screamed, panic tearing through his composure. “Immortal Sun, this is just a family misunderstanding! I’ll return the City Lord’s seal immediately—please forgive me!”

This was Bai Xi to the core.

    Cruel to the weak.
    Pitiful before the strong.

He scrambled forward, voice shaking. “My nephew… I was wrong. Please—just take the seal!”

He practically threw it at Alex.

Alex caught it and lowered his gaze.

The black-gold seal rested in his palm.

It was small—no larger than his hand—yet unbearably heavy. Dragons and clouds were carved into its surface, ancient and imposing. At its center were four characters:

    Qingshui City.

    Power. Authority. Countless lives.

Alex allowed a smile to spread across his face.

    It looked like joy.

In truth, it was only an act.

Because his real plan was simple—escape Xia as fast as possible and return to Estoria.

He raised the City Lord’s seal high above his head.

“From this moment onward,” Alex shouted, his voice ringing across the square, “I, Bai Xiaochun, am the one and only City Lord of Qingshui City!”

    The crowd exploded.

Cheers erupted from every direction, wild and unrestrained.

Alex stepped forward and met Bai Xi’s gaze. He smiled—broad, mocking, merciless. He reached out and patted Bai Xi on the shoulder.

“Uncle,” Alex said softly, almost kindly, “you may rest now. From this moment forward, the burden of Qingshui City belongs to me.”

Bai Xi’s smile stiffened. “Xiaochun… you—”

“Everyone,” Alex said loudly, cutting him off.

“I know this city has suffered under a false City Lord. I know you all carry grievances that were buried and ignored.”

His gaze swept across the crowd.

“Starting today, as the true City Lord, you may come to me. Tell me your injustices. Together, we will settle what has been delayed for far too long.”

    His eyes hardened.

“Under the heavens, justice must stand upright. Rats and pigs will no longer be allowed to trample the people of this city.”

The square fell silent for a heartbeat.

Then the cheers erupted again—louder than before.

Men slammed their fists against their chests.
Women wiped tears from their faces.
Children laughed and shouted, jumping in place.

“Did he just call Bai Xi a pig?” someone whispered.

“He did!” another muttered, barely holding back laughter. “Not even his insults hold back.”

Alex slowly lowered the seal. His gaze dropped deliberately to Bai Xi, sharp and cold.

“Uncle,” Alex said evenly, “I promise I won’t disappoint you. I will investigate every act of corruption, every crime you committed against the people—and I will ensure you live the rest of your life in misery.”

    Bai Xi finally snapped.

“How dare you!” he roared. “I am the law here! Who dares to judge me?”

    Alex didn’t flinch.

“The law of Heaven comes first,” he said calmly. “The law of the people comes second—because laws exist to protect the people. Without the people, there is no country. Without a country, there is no king.”

    He stepped forward.

“You are nothing but a minor city magistrate. How dare you place yourself above the people? Even if you call yourself the law, you must still bend, bow, and kneel before them.”

    The crowd erupted.

Applause thundered through the square. Voices overlapped in fierce agreement.

Alex continued, “And you—you have hurt the people for far too long. I will gather every one of your crimes and let Immortal Li and Immortal Sun deliver Heaven’s judgment upon you.”

    Bai Xi’s face flushed crimson.

    Fear flickered in his eyes.

He understood immediately—Alex was dangerous. He was using the immortals’ authority to crush him completely.

    Alex understood something too.

If Bai Xi survived this moment—if he lived long enough for the immortals to leave—he would never stop. He would strike again and again until Alex was dead.

    So the choice was simple.

    Kill him first.

Bai Xi sensed the danger instantly.

In a single breath, he transformed.

A gentle smile spread across his face—the practiced calm of a seasoned actor. He bowed deeply, posture humble.

“Nephew,” he said smoothly, “you haven’t seen the full picture. One cannot pass judgment without evidence. If mistakes were made, they should be judged properly.”

He straightened and turned toward the crowd, spreading his arms.

“Citizens of Qingshui City, our city has finally returned to its rightful lord. May Heaven bless us all.”

Then his voice sharpened, just enough to warn.

“But I caution everyone—accusations without proof are dangerous. Some may take offense. Some may seek revenge.”

The smile never left his face.

But the threat beneath it was unmistakable.

Everyone knew what Bai Xi was doing.

    It was a warning.

He had ties to the underworld—black-market groups, powerful merchants, even unorthodox sects. Any of them could make people disappear.

    No one dared to speak.

“I still hold the position of magistrate,” Bai Xi said coldly. “Do not make a mistake—or you will fall into my hands.”

He turned and bowed to the immortals.

“Immortal Li. Immortal Sun. Thank you for upholding Heaven’s will. Please allow me to take my leave.”

    Li Qingxue nodded once, uninterested.

Sun Muran laughed mockingly. “Try not to let me see you again, little pig.”

    Bai Xi’s face burned.

He was fifty-five years old—and being called little pig by someone who looked barely twenty.

He forced a laugh and bowed again. Immortals could look young even after centuries of life.

Without another word, he waved his hand. His soldiers closed ranks, escorting him through the gate.

The moment they were gone, the square erupted.

    Cheers, laughter, shouts.

But as the noise faded, a hoarse voice cried from the back of the crowd.

“City Lord Bai Xiaochun! We have grievances!”

    The atmosphere shifted instantly.

    Laughter died. Joy drained away.

Dozens stepped forward, clutching petitions, stained letters, scraps of cloth covered in trembling ink.

“My husband disappeared last month!” a woman cried. “He refused to pay a bribe!”

“My daughter was taken to the magistrate’s office!” another screamed. “She never came back!”

“Our farmland was seized!” an old man shouted. “Our children are starving!”

A restaurant owner pushed forward, shaking. “For four months, Bai Xi and his soldiers ate at my shop and never paid! When I demanded payment, they threw my children into jail!”

    The crowd surged.

Grief, rage, and despair spilled out at once.

It was as if a dam had burst.

    Alex’s thoughts spun.

    No wonder they hated him.

He lifted his gaze toward Li Qingxue and Sun Muran. Their expressions were calm, distant—untouched by mortal suffering.

To them, this was beneath notice.

“City Lord of Qingshui,” Sun Muran called.

Alex stepped forward and bowed deeply. “I, Bai Xiaochun, await your command.”

“Something—or someone—may already be entering this city,” Li Qingxue said coldly. “If anything unusual occurs, contact us immediately.”

She flicked her wrist, tossing a talisman toward Alex.

    “Activate it if needed.”

Alex caught it with both hands. “Thank you, Immortal.”

Without another word, the two immortals rose into the sky and vanished.

The square felt heavier without them.

Zhuge Liang stepped forward, voice steady. “Young Master Bai, the people do not ask for miracles. We ask only for justice.”

    He gestured to the crowd.

“There are honest officials in this city—men who refused to kneel to corruption. They were dismissed, imprisoned, destroyed. Release them. Restore them to their posts. They will stabilize the city and help you confront Bai Xi’s remaining influence.”

    Alex studied him.

    This man understood power.

The crowd bowed in unison. “Please give us justice, City Lord.”

    Alex exhaled slowly.

    “Fine,” he said quietly.

I’ll play the role of a good City Lord for now—while I recover.

And when everything finally settles… I’ll disappear without a trace.
