    The Almighty Dominance Chapter 533

Alex glanced back at Renata and shook his head.

“Did they hit your head too hard?”

    She stared at him, confused.

    “What are you talking about?”

He frowned, disbelief written all over his face.

“No sane woman talks about making love while she’s lying injured in a hospital bed.”

“I didn’t mean right now,” Renata said quickly, her face flushing with embarrassment.

“Let’s make it never,” Alex replied flatly.

    “What?”

“I refuse,” he said, firm and unyielding.

“Are you sure?” Renata studied him closely, trying to make sense of his reaction. She had forced herself to be brave, offering intimacy as a way to express gratitude.

In her experience, that kind of offer usually made men excited, even eager. She had never doubted that no one would reject her.

She was a duke’s daughter—admired wherever she went, stunningly beautiful, and fully aware of her effect on people.

Yet after summoning all her courage, swallowing her pride, and speaking honestly, the man in front of her dismissed her without hesitation.

That hurt more than any of her visible injuries.

    Alex folded his arms.

“I heard you used to be conservative. You planned to stay pure until marriage and devote yourself to the man you married. Is that true?”

“Yes,” she admitted. “That was what I believed.”

    “Then what changed?”

    Renata’s eyes hardened.

“That was in the past. I learned the hard way there’s no advantage to being a conservative woman. Look what that jerk did to me.”

    Alex’s tone softened.

“Meeting one asshole doesn’t mean all men are assholes. You just trusted the wrong person.”

    She sighed.

“Finding a man who truly feels the same way I do? That’s impossible. It was just a dream. I’d rather let go of that naïve way of thinking.”

“That’s your choice,” Alex said. “Just don’t put that expectation on me. I’m married to Sofina, and I don’t plan to change how I live.”

“You’re faithful?” Renata asked, genuinely surprised.

“I am,” he replied calmly. “In the past three years I’ve spent in Prussia, I’ve only been with Sofina. And that’s exactly how it will remain.”

    She stared at him, stunned.

    “Are you lying to me?”

    Alex met her gaze directly.

“Why would I lie? What reason would I have?”

Renata fell silent. Everything she believed about men suddenly felt uncertain.

Alex touched the bracelet on his wrist and shifted the conversation.

“Anyway, Count Oskar tried to squeeze Baron Sturmfels and Matthias for money, but it was like shaking an empty jar. They couldn’t pay what they owed. You can only recover twice what Matthias scammed from you.”

    “Twice?” Renata echoed.

“Exactly,” Alex said. “Your original loss was thirty million. That means you’re entitled to sixty million. Open your bank account. I’m transferring it now.”

“Sixty million?” Renata gasped. She had already accepted that the thirty million she lost—her savings and the money she had secretly taken from her father—was gone forever. Now, not only had it returned, it had doubled.

Even through the pain in her body, the word money cut through everything. She activated her bracelet and opened the secure connection.

Alex completed the transfer without hesitation. The number appeared on her screen—sixty million dollars deposited into her account.

Renata stared at the balance. A smile slowly spread across her face, washing away the bitterness in her heart, if only for a moment.

    She looked straight at Alex.

“Alex Saint-Claire, I’ll repay this favor no matter what. I’ll do anything you command, without hesitation.”

Alex gave a small nod, accepting her gratitude without making a big deal of it.

“Just remember—don’t tell Sofina about this. If she ever found out I had dealings with people like Count Oskar, she’d hate me. I can’t afford that.”

“It’ll stay our secret,” Renata said.

She studied him again, searching his face for any opening. After a long pause, she finally spoke the words she had rehearsed in her mind.

“Let’s make love. I’m starting to feel like I truly want to be with you.”

    “No,” Alex replied instantly.

    Renata blinked, caught off guard.

    “You’re not impotent, are you?”

    He waved the question away.

“Yes. I’m impotent. So leave me alone.”

The lie came out cold and careless.

    She sighed, disappointed.

“That’s a shame. You’re very handsome, but impotent. What a pity.”

Before Alex could respond, the door burst open and Sofina rushed into the hospital room, worry etched across her face.

“Renata! I heard you were hurt!”

    Renata forced a bright smile.

“Nah, just a small wound. Advanced healing. I’ll be walking out tomorrow.”

    Sofina hurried to her side.

    “Renata, I was so worried.”

The two women embraced while Alex stood quietly near the window.

Then Renata’s expression turned thoughtful, and she glanced toward him.

“Sofina… I’m really sorry you ended up with an impotent husband. That must be hard for you.”

    Sofina stared at her, confused.

“Impotent? What are you talking about?”

“Alex said he’s impotent,” Renata explained.

Alex was already halfway out the door.

“Impotent?” Sofina burst into laughter. “That man is a sex machine. If you don’t stop him, he can go all day without rest. He leaves my whole body aching.”

Renata looked toward Alex, anger rising—but he was already gone.

The next day, while Alex was home cleaning, he received an unexpected video call from an unknown number.

“Hello, Mister Alex,” a woman said as her face appeared on the screen. “I am Leonora von Silberkreuz.”

    Alex frowned, completely puzzled.

“What do you want? We have nothing to talk about.”

    Leonora’s smile wavered slightly.

“I hope you’ll forgive me,” she said.

Alex didn’t even look at the screen. “I already did. Goodbye.”

“Wait,” she said quickly. “Please. This call isn’t about yesterday.”

His finger hovered over the screen. “Then make it fast.”

    Leonora took a breath.

“I’m very interested in Xia culture, especially their books. But I’m not experienced in this field. Yesterday I could tell that you are. Someone is offering me a collection of Xia texts. Would you help me identify whether any of them are rare?”

    That caught his attention.

“And what exactly are they offering?”

    Leonora’s expression turned serious.

“Xia royal family cultivation books and martial arts manuals. The seller claims they’re the best of the best, but I don’t know if they’re real or fake. Too many counterfeit books have been sold to me before.”

Alex nodded slowly. The last Xia formation text he had studied had already benefited him far more than expected. Even a glance at higher-level methods would be worth the effort.

“Fine,” he said. “I’ll go with you.”

“Thank you, Mister Saint-Claire,” Leonora replied, relief evident in her voice. “I’ll send the address immediately. Could you come soon?”

Minutes later, the VÖXEN Lucifer carried Alex across the city. The vehicle moved like a dark streak of polished metal, slicing through traffic with effortless speed.

He arrived at the destination alone.

It was a vast estate with an enormous garden. Tall iron gates stood open, and the mansion beyond them looked quiet and refined in the afternoon light.

Alex stepped onto the gravel path and waited.

    The silence didn’t last.

From behind the trees, a group of men appeared without warning. No words. No threats. Only raised weapons.

Laser guns erupted in flashes of brutal light.

Energy rounds tore through the air toward Alex Saint-Claire, turning the peaceful garden into instant chaos filled with deadly intent.
