“Frederick! You can’t hit Alex!” Lawrence rushed in, grabbing Frederick’s arm just as it swung toward Alex.

“Shut the hell up!” Frederick snarled.

He seized Lawrence by the collar and flung him aside like trash.

But Lawrence scrambled to his feet and stood in front of Alex again, shielding him with his own body.

“So that’s it? You forget your family and protect this bastard?” Frederick’s fists clenched, trembling with rage as he raised his arm again.

“He healed Grandfather-don’t forget that. If you lay a hand on him, I’ll call my father,” Lawrence warned, his voice trembling yet firm.

“And you know exactly what will happen then.”

The threat cut through Frederick’s fury. There were only two men in the family he feared his grandfather, and second, Henry.

“Fine.” Frederick spat the word like venom.

“Then tell that fake doctor to get out. We’ve already paid him. If he doesn’t leave in a minute, he won’t leave at all.”

The bag smacked hard against Frederick’s face.

To everyone’s shock, he staggered, rolled his eyes back, and collapsed, fainting on the floor.

“You hit my son! You’re asking for death!” Benjamin roared, fury blazing in his eyes.

He raised a fist to crush Alex. Their family lived by martial arts-every argument was one step away from bloodshed.

Alex’s own blood boiled, his fists twitching, but he knew if he fought back, any fragile diplomacy with the Lyra family would shatter.

“Guards!” Lawrence shouted, desperate but clever. “Uncle Benjamin is about to strike our guest!”

In seconds, armored guards stormed the hall, forming a wall between Benjamin and Alex.

“This fraud dared hit my son and insult our family. Don’t stop me from killing him!” Benjamin thundered.

“Uncle, this is happening because you refused to pay him as agreed!” Lawrence shot back.

“I was ready to give him three hundred million! But after his insolence, he won’t get a single cent. I’ll take his arms instead!” Benjamin’s voice shook the walls. He pointed at Alex.

“Guards, seize him. Break both his arms!”

“No! Stop!” Lawrence cried. But the guards hesitated only a moment-Benjamin’s authority outweighed Lawrence’s weakness.

They moved toward Alex.

Lawrence darted in front of them again, spreading his arms wide.

“Uncle, what are you doing? Alex is a benefactor to the Prescott family! Aren’t you afraid of Grandfather’s wrath if you harm him?”

“You insolent brat! You protect a man who dares slander us?” Benjamin’s rage grew blacker. “Fine. Then I’ll discipline you myself-in your father’s place!”

Frederick, regaining consciousness, staggered up, face twisted in rage, charging at Alex.

“Stop it, Benjamin!” A voice boomed from the doorway. “I’ll be the one to discipline my son.”

All eyes turned. Henry stood there, calm yet terrifying.

Benjamin froze. Frederick too. Fear drained the color from their faces.

“What kind of chaos is this,” Henry’s voice was sharp, “while Father is still recovering?”

Lawrence rushed to him, relief flooding his face. “Father, it’s them. They don’t want to pay.”

Lawrence told Henry everything, slowly but clearly.

Henry let out a long sigh. When he turned, Benjamin and Frederick were already slipping quietly out of the living room.

They knew exactly why they didn’t want to pay the three hundred million, and they feared Henry’s temper if he pressed the matter.

Henry could only shake his head at the disgrace of his family.

“Young man,” Henry said at last, turning to Alex, “I’ll order the treasury to prepare the three hundred million. Please wait here.”

He looked at Lawrence. “Son, tell Mr. Smith to bring a check for three hundred million.”

“Yes, Father.” Lawrence bowed his head and left to carry out the order.

Meanwhile, Benjamin and Frederick hurried down the hall toward Samuel’s room.

“Did you see Henry?” Frederick hissed. “He’s about to hand that bastard three hundred million! Money that should be ours!”

Benjamin’s jaw tightened. “Damn waste.”

“Father, let’s expose the fake doctor’s trick,” Frederick said suddenly, eyes flashing.

“How?” Benjamin frowned.

“He told us not to wake Grandfather

for an hour. Think about it—he just wants to stall, take the money, and disappear. But what if Grandfather dies in that

“I’ll wake him myself. If he can open his eyes, then he’s fine.”

“Grandfather.” Frederick grabbed Samuel’s shoulders and shook him. After a few pushes, Samuel’s eyes flicked open.

But something was wrong. Terribly wrong. His eyes were blood-red, veins bursting like fire across them.

At that moment, Alex was still waiting with Henry when a servant ran in, pale and shaking.

“Mr. Henry! Something’s wrong! Mr. Prescott-he’s gone mad!”

“What?” Henry shot up, his face drained of color.

Without another word, he bolted, guards rushing behind him. Samuel was the pillar of their family. Any disaster involving him could destroy everything.

But as soon as they reached the front room, the world exploded.

Literally exploded.

A deafening blast ripped through half the mansion, tearing it into rubble and

leaving a smoking crater.

In the center of the destruction stood Samuel.

His body trembled, his eyes glowing red like burning coals. He swung one hand,

and an entire wall of the mansion collapsed in an instant.

The more he moved, the more devastation followed-each strike tearing the mansion apart piece by piece.

Even Henry, a high-level superhuman, stood frozen.

Against Samuel-the living legend, level ninety-nine-they had no chance. All

they could do was retreat.

Samuel raged blindly, smashing everything in sight, destroying without thought or

mercy.

“What’s happening?” Henry’s voice cracked with panic. “Alex! You said my grandfather was stable!”

“Someone woke him before the hour was up.” He looked at Samuel with a sorrowful gaze and sighed.

“Truly unfortunate for the Prescott family. You’ve just lost your best chance.”
