Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 933

The second Zachary’s eyes filled with tears, I froze. I honestly hadn’t expected that. He never struck me as the emotional type.

For a split second, I panicked. Do I hug him?
He didn’t exactly seem like a hugger… but maybe I’d be wrong.

Before I could decide, my dad stepped in. He placed a hand on Zachary’s shoulder and gave it a firm squeeze.

“If our girl wants both her dads walking her down the aisle,” my father said, flashing me a proud smile that made my heart swell, “then that’s exactly what she’s going to get.”

Zachary cleared his throat and nodded without hesitation.

“Yes. Of course. It would be my honor,” he said, offering me his arm.

My father offered his other one, and in that moment, I knew without a doubt I had made the right choice.

I slipped my hands through both their arms and held them close.

Nan and Chester stood at the front of the line near the doors that led from the back of the church out to the courtyard where the ceremony was set. Behind them were Taylor and Eliza, then Irene and Erik, and finally Matt, carrying a small pillow with our rings.

My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might break through my ribs. Gavin was waiting at the end of the aisle. In just a few minutes, I would be standing in front of him, telling him how much I loved him—choosing him for the rest of our lives.

“You look beautiful,” Irene said with a warm smile. She stood beside Erik, their arms already linked. I felt tears sting my eyes.

“Don’t you dare cry, Judy. I spent way too long on your makeup.”

    I laughed through the tears.

“I’m just really happy,” I told her. “Things are finally falling into place. You found your true mate, and I’m marrying the man I love.”

“I’m happy too,” she replied, her eyes shimmering. “Now let’s go get you married to my father.”

Right on cue, the music started. Even through the closed doors, I could hear it clearly.

    The doors opened.

I caught glimpses of guests seated on either side—Tabby and Shirley among them. My mom was in the front row, holding Ryder. I couldn’t see them clearly from where I stood, but knowing they were there steadied me.

    Then I saw Gavin.

Just a glimpse of him at the altar, and my heart nearly stopped.

He looked so good my knees actually went weak. He hadn’t seen me yet.

Nan and Chester began walking down the aisle, and the others followed.

I looked up at my dad. He gave me a subtle wink—a silent promise that everything was going to be okay, that he had my back no matter what.

    I took a deep breath.

I felt more confident than I ever had in my life. I knew who I was. I knew where I came from. I knew who loved me—and who I loved. Gratitude washed over me so strongly I almost wanted to freeze time and live in that feeling just a second longer.

“Are you ready?” Zachary asked softly.

I realized it was our turn.

I nodded, drew in one more steadying breath, and stepped through the doors with them.

    Gavin’s eyes found mine instantly.

In that moment, it felt like the entire world disappeared. It was just us. The way he looked at me—like I was everything—made my heart expand until it almost hurt. Tears blurred my vision again. If I thought he looked good before, it was nothing compared to the way he looked right now.

Then he did something completely unexpected.

Instead of waiting at the altar like he was supposed to, he leaned over and whispered something to Taylor, his best man. Taylor burst out laughing and shook his head.

I barely had time to wonder what he said before Gavin turned back toward me—and started walking down the aisle.

My eyes widened. Whispers rippled through the crowd as everyone tried to figure out what he was doing.

He moved like a man on a mission.

    My steps faltered.

Seconds later, he was standing right in front of me, eyes sparkling with mischief.

“What are you doing?” I asked, laughter bubbling out of me despite everything.

    His grin widened.

“I’m not waiting another second to make you mine,” Gavin said softly, his voice low enough for only me—and my dads—to hear.
