Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 929

“I want to thank you for sending Chuck back to my territory,” Jeremy said, sitting across from me and leaning back in his chair. “We’re handling him appropriately. He’s been stripped of his title and fired from the force. I promise you, I’m not taking this lightly.”

I nodded. I already knew Jeremy would deal with it.

I’d been ready to handle Chuck myself, but Irene asked me not to. Even after everything he’d done to her, she still chose kindness. I wasn’t about to disappoint her.

“As long as he’s being punished for what he did, I guess it doesn’t matter who does it,” I muttered, tapping my fingers against my desk.

My nerves were a mess—but in the best way possible.

Tonight, I was marrying the love of my life. My fated mate.

In all my years, I never thought I’d get married again. But here I was, about to marry Judy—and I couldn’t be happier.

“How’s Levi?” Jeremy asked. “Still in prison?”

I nodded. “Yeah. He’s not getting out anytime soon. Apparently, he’s been giving my guards a hard time.” I shook my head. “He’ll get what’s coming to him eventually.”

“Have Mica and his nephew arrived?”

“They’re at the packhouse,” I said. “Settling into their rooms before the ceremony. They got in this morning. I had breakfast with them. You’re the last one to show up.”

“Better late than never,” Jeremy teased, pushing off the chair and standing. “Isn’t it almost time? Shouldn’t you be getting ready to marry your bride?”

“Yes, he should,” Taylor said as he walked into my office, arms folded across his chest. “Why are you sitting here working when you should be getting ready for your wedding? It’s bad enough you wouldn’t let us throw you a bachelor party.”

He wasn’t wrong. I had zero interest in celebrating being a bachelor. I was far more excited to stop being one.

I rolled my eyes. “I just have a few more things to finish up. I won’t be much longer.”

“Didn’t we agree—no work on your wedding day?” Taylor raised a brow. “What would Judy think?”

“Judy is still recovering after getting completely wasted last night,” I reminded him.

I couldn’t help thinking about Richard Montague’s call—the worry in his voice about Judy. I’d been worried too.

I rushed over in the middle of the night so I could hold her while she slept. I barely slept myself, just lay there watching her breathe.

I left before she woke up this morning, but I knew she’d be dealing with a hangover. I was still irritated with Nan—and my daughter—for letting her drink that much.

Still, Nan told me Olivia apologized. Most of the pack had apologized too. They even gave Judy their blessing to be their Luna and bowed to her.

That made it harder to stay angry.

“Seriously, Gavin,” Taylor said, shaking his head. “Judy will kill all of us if you’re late to your own wedding. Let’s move.”

I raised a brow at him. “Did you just tell your Alpha what to do?”

“No,” he shot back, nudging my shoulder. “I told my best friend what to do. Now let’s go before we’re actually late.”

    He had a point.

The paperwork could wait. My wedding couldn’t.

I stood, shut down my computer, and stepped out from behind my desk. “You’re right. Let’s go.”

The three of us left Landry Corporation and headed straight to the packhouse. Judy was getting ready at the villa, which meant the packhouse would be clear of her.

Irene had made one thing very clear—I was not to see Judy on our wedding day. Apparently, last night and early this morning didn’t count.

But I was absolutely forbidden from seeing her in her dress.

I had no idea how she was doing, but I trusted my family and friends to take care of her. I just hoped she wasn’t in too much pain after all that drinking.

My stomach twisted at the thought.

“Dad… do I really have to wear this stupid tux?” Matt asked, walking toward me and tugging at his dark tie.

I crouched down to his level. My handsome boy.

“Yes,” I told him, resting a hand on his shoulder. “You’re the ring bearer. It’s tradition.”

    He groaned dramatically.

“Ryder doesn’t have to wear a tux,” he muttered, crossing his arms and glaring up at me.
