“You’re finally here,” Nan said, pulling me into a tight hug. “About time. We were this close to leaving without you.”

I rolled my eyes, smiling. I knew she was teasing.

“You can’t leave without me,” I shot back. “That’s not how this works.”

She grinned and nudged me. “We can do whatever we want. Just because it’s your bachelorette party doesn’t mean we won’t ditch you.”

“You’re ridiculous,” I laughed. “But honestly, it feels so good to be out. I haven’t stepped outside the Villa in two weeks. It’s been nothing but diapers and baby spit-up.”

“Well, let Gavin handle the baby tonight,” she said with a mischievous smile. “We have serious partying to do.”

“Are we finally ready to go?” Irene asked, walking up to us. “I’m ready to get my drink on.”

She did a little dance that made me laugh again.

“Yes, I’m ready,” I said, slipping an arm around her. “Are the others meeting us there?”

“Of course,” Nan said confidently. “Your best friend and maid of honor handled everything.”

I trusted her completely, so I didn’t worry. We left the packhouse where we’d met and headed toward the waiting car. Irene quickened her pace, practically racing ahead, and I smiled because I knew exactly why.

Right on cue, the front door opened and Erik stepped out. He grinned, arms wide, and Irene launched herself into him. Nan and I shared a knowing smile. For the past two weeks, they’d barely left each other’s side. Ever since Irene’s curse had been broken and she recognized him as her true mate, she’d been glued to him—and he clearly loved it.

I was genuinely happy for them. Things finally felt normal again.

Erik kissed her forehead and whispered something that made her laugh softly. Her cheeks turned pink as she pulled back.

He looked at me and winked. “Ready to hit the city?”

“I’ve been ready,” I said. “I can’t wait.”

He laughed and opened the back door for us. Once we were all inside, he took the driver’s seat and headed into the city. The drive took about thirty minutes, and by the time we arrived, my sides were aching from laughing so hard.

Erik grinned down at her, pulling her close. “I can arrange that,” he said with a wink, making Nan and me burst out laughing.

I finally convinced Erik to park and join us inside. He was basically one of the girls anyway, and I wanted to spend time with him and Irene as a couple. They’d been holed up at his place or in Irene’s room for the past two weeks.

The bar was absolute chaos—music blasting, people dancing everywhere, drinks flowing freely. Some were even dancing on stage, half-dressed. It wasn’t a strip club; they were just that drunk.

I turned toward the bar and smiled when I saw my mom hurrying over. She wrapped me in a tight hug and kissed my cheek.

“How are you feeling?” she asked, scanning me with concern.

“I’m fine, Mom. Just tired,” I admitted. “It’s been a long couple of weeks.”

“I’m sure,” she said gently. “You need to bring my grandbaby over soon. I bought him some new toys.”

“He’s too young, Mom,” I laughed. “Maybe in a few more weeks.”

“He may be young, but he has yours and Gavin’s blood,” she reminded me. “He’s a powerful baby.”

I smiled, thinking about Ryder. He really was strong. And my heart felt so full it almost hurt.

“Selene and Cora are already at the bar,” Mom added. “They’re excited to see you. You’ve been distant lately, and they’ve been worried.”

Guilt settled heavily in my chest.
