Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 922
Trust us… my magic whispered inside me.
I closed my eyes, already knowing that I could.
When I opened them, everyone was staring at me.
“I know what to do,” I said quietly.
Then I walked toward Chuck, my steps slow and deliberate, my gaze never leaving his.
Taylor stiffened the moment I got too close. I could practically hear the warning forming on his lips—he’s dangerous, stay back—but I met his eyes and gave him a small, reassuring nod.
“Trust me,” I said softly. “I can handle this.”
He hesitated, jaw tight, then nodded once.
I stepped closer to Chuck, close enough that I could feel the heat of his anger, my eyes locked onto his as I drew in a sharp breath.
“I call to the siren’s curse,” I said. “Make yourself known to me.”
My voice rang out—far louder, far more powerful than I’d ever heard it before.
To my shock, Chuck’s eyes began to glow a vivid green.
The magic responded instantly.
A green, shimmering mist spread through the room, curling like smoke caught in a current. Somewhere behind me, Nan sucked in a sharp breath.
“Holy shit,” she whispered. “Irene’s glowing green too.”
I didn’t look away. Chuck didn’t either.
He stood frozen, as if rooted in place, his body unresponsive even as his magic answered my call.
“Judy?” Cora murmured. “How are you doing this so easily?”
Even with the room glowing—Chuck, Irene, the air itself—I knew it wasn’t everything. There was still something missing. A fragment of the curse remained hidden, stubborn and resistant.
I didn’t know how I knew.
I just did.
“I need all of Chuck’s curse to be revealed to me,” I said, louder this time.
My body began to tingle.
Then, from the corner of my vision, I noticed something else.
I was glowing.
Not green—but a soft, radiant white.
I could feel my magic pouring out of me in waves, growing stronger with every breath.
Chuck’s lip curled. Though he remained immobile, I could feel his fury—his will pushing back, trying to hold his magic away from me.
The curse resisted.
Then I felt a hand slip into mine.
I glanced down, breaking eye contact with Chuck for the first time, and saw Cora gripping my hand tightly. Esme took my other one a heartbeat later.
Relief flooded me. I smiled at them both.
Together, we turned back to Chuck.
Their bodies began to glow too—my magic stretching outward, weaving around them like shared breath.
“I am the host of magic,” I declared, my voice steady and unyielding. “And I demand that all of Chuck’s curse—the siren’s curse—in this room be revealed to me.”
The magic listened.
A sudden burst of green light flared near the couch.
We all whipped around—and froze.
The glow outlined two figures on the sofa.
As the shapes sharpened, realization hit like a punch to the chest.
One was Chuck.
The other was—
“Is that…?” Nan began.
“It’s Irene,” I whispered, nodding before she could finish.
Taylor frowned. “What’s it doing?”
Esme answered, her voice low and haunted.
“It’s showing us,” she said slowly, “the exact moment Chuck put the curse on her.”
