Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 921
“Irene, don’t listen to her!” Chuck pleaded. “You know you love me. I’m the only one you can trust.”
“Shut up,” Taylor growled, stepping directly into Chuck’s space. “We’ve heard more than enough from you.”
Irene sniffled as she gently pulled out of my arms.
Then she looked at me—really looked at me.
For a brief, terrifying moment, I had no idea what she was thinking. When her gaze shifted back to Chuck, my heart clenched. I was afraid—afraid she would believe him, afraid she would fall back into his grip.
She stepped toward him, her movements slow and deliberate.
“Chuck…” she said quietly.
Her voice didn’t waver—but something final had settled into it.
“I loved you so much. When I found out you were cheating on me, it shattered me.” Her hands curled into fists at her sides. “A true mate—someone who truly loves you—would never do that. You hurt me in ways I didn’t even know were possible.”
Chuck’s jaw tightened.
“And then,” she continued, her voice trembling, “you somehow convinced me it wasn’t what it looked like. I trusted you. I believed you over everyone else in my life.”
Her eyes lifted, steady now.
“But I think it’s time I started listening to them. Judy is my friend. So are the rest of these people. And I know they would never lead me wrong.”
Chuck’s expression twisted. The desperation vanished, replaced by pure resentment.
“You’re so fucking stupid,” he spat. “You really think anyone else will ever love you the way I did? You’re dead wrong. Don’t come crying to me when you realize just how fucking wrong you are.”
I barely managed to stop myself from lunging at him.
Thankfully, Taylor didn’t bother holding back.
One second, Chuck was snarling at Irene. The next, he was on the ground, clutching his face as blood poured from his broken nose.
Irene jumped back with a startled cry as Taylor loomed over Chuck, teeth bared.
“Watch your fucking mouth,” Taylor hissed.
I had to bite the inside of my cheek to keep from applauding.
Nan, on the other hand, had no such restraint. She whooped loudly, pumping her fists in the air.
“That’s my boy!”
I couldn’t stop the smile tugging at my lips—but I quickly reined it in when I saw Irene’s shaken expression.
I turned to Cora and Esme. Both were watching with unmistakable pride.
“So,” I said, exhaling slowly, grounding myself. “What do we do now? We’re all here.”
Cora nodded and motioned for me to step closer.
“Chuck has to call the curse back,” she said. “That part is unavoidable.”
She glanced briefly at him, her expression unimpressed.
“Obviously, he won’t do it willingly. That’s where you come in, Judy. You’re a host of magic—and his curse is magic as well. You’ll need to summon his magic, force it out of Irene, and drive it back into him.”
I blinked. “I… call his magic?”
“Yes,” Cora said calmly. “Magic is stubborn. It has a will of its own. This won’t be easy—honestly, I would’ve preferred to train you more before attempting something like this.”
She studied me carefully. “It will drain you. It will hurt. But I’ll help however I can—if you’re willing.”
I thought about my magic—how it answered me without hesitation. How the Goddess had told me it trusted me… and that I needed to trust it in return.
I inhaled slowly, then nodded.
“I can do it.”
As I took a steady breath, I felt my wolf stir. My magic followed, warm and responsive, coiling through me like it was waiting for this very moment.
We were ready.
Whatever came next—we would face it head-on.
