Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 909
She gave Daisy a pointed look. Lila didn’t notice that the mark on Daisy’s neck was gone—that Noah no longer had any control over her.
Daisy lifted her hand and touched the smooth skin of her neck, a faint smile ghosting her lips. I knew exactly what she was thinking, even though she didn’t say it out loud this time.
She was free.
“Your brother has been nothing but cruel to me,” Daisy said once she finally found her voice. “He marked me without my consent and used me to mess with Gavin and his family for years. I don’t want any part of this anymore. My ties with the Blackwells are over. You took too much from me, and I know I’ll never get those pieces back—but I’m going to rebuild myself without your influence.”
Gasps erupted around us, and a swell of pride filled my chest. Daisy was standing up to the people who had bullied and controlled her for years. It was powerful—liberating—and I hoped everyone watching understood what they were witnessing.
“I have no idea what you’re talking about,” Lila said, her eyes narrowing. “We’ve been friends forever. Why wouldn’t you tell me if my brother was doing this to you?”
“I did,” Daisy said, stepping closer. “You helped him torment me, Lila. We aren’t friends. You’re a psychopath and not fit to be a Luna. You’ve been lying to everyone. All you want is control. You’re angry because the Moon Gem didn’t work for you, and now there’s proof you aren’t the powerful one. Judy broke the bond between Noah and me, and everyone saw it.”
Lila’s face drained of color as she glanced around. Olivia and her friends had just arrived, their expressions shifting as they took in the scene.
“I’m not sure what you think happened here,” Lila snapped, turning back to Daisy, “but this is a lie meant to make me look bad. You’re making this up, and it’s best if you shut the fuck up.”
“I’m not the one lying,” Daisy hissed. “That billion-dollar check isn’t real. Your parents cut you off, so now you’re desperate for money.”
The crowd erupted again.
Lila’s face went pale, but she refused to back down. “Shut up! You’re lying,” she growled, her eyes flashing toward Noah, who was still recovering, rage simmering beneath the surface.
Daisy let out a dark laugh and pointed to her neck.
“The mark your brother left on me is gone. He doesn’t control me anymore.”
“Try again,” Noah snarled as he lunged at her.
Everything happened at once.
Gavin didn’t have time to grab me—I was already moving. I stepped in front of Daisy, my hands raised just as Noah’s canines extended, seconds from biting her again.
Then he stopped.
He was thrown backward, slamming into the ground with a pained groan as he rolled, struggling to recover.
Gasps filled the air as everyone stumbled back. That’s when I realized a hazy shield surrounded me. Daisy stood behind me, eyes wide as she stared at the barrier encasing us.
“Did you do this?” she whispered.
“I… I think so,” I whispered back. The shield felt even stronger than before.
I didn’t have time to process it.
A sharp pain exploded in my lower abdomen. I gasped, instinctively releasing the shield as I clutched my stomach. Warm moisture pooled between my legs, and tears blurred my vision.
I don’t remember everything after that. There was screaming. Someone shouting my name—it sounded far away, though it might have been right beside me. The pain was overwhelming, crushing, and all I wanted was to curl into myself and sob.
Gavin’s arms were around me instantly. He lifted me off the ground, his grip firm but careful. I was too weak to fight him as fresh waves of pain tore through my body with the movement.
“It’s okay,” he whispered against my ear. “I’m taking you to the hospital.”
“Eliza’s clinic…” I whispered weakly, unsure if he heard me. “Take me there…”
“Judy—” he started.
“I think the baby’s coming,” I blurted, forcing my eyes open to look at him. “I need Eliza.”
