Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 907

“Trust the magic?” he shot back. “You don’t even know how to use your magic yet.”

The words hit harder than I expected, a dull ache spreading through my chest.

“That doesn’t matter,” I said, forcing the pain out of my voice. “It won’t let anything happen to me or the baby. And if you can’t trust that…” I swallowed. “Then at least trust my wolf. You know what she’s capable of. Hell—most of the world does.”

    Gavin exhaled slowly.

“Of course I trust your wolf,” he said, his expression finally softening. “Just like I trust you. But this isn’t the way to prove yourself.”

“Well, this heartwarming moment is adorable,” Noah drawled, rolling his eyes, “but I’ve got more donations to collect.”

    He turned sharply toward Daisy.
“Get your ass back inside and serve more drinks. And don’t fuck it up again. Do what I tell you next time.”

Daisy’s head dropped. I watched the last of her resolve fracture as Noah turned toward the entrance.

    Something inside me snapped.

I stepped directly into his path.

Gavin moved instantly, reaching for me—but I lifted my hand, and a translucent shield exploded into existence between us. He slammed into it, stunned. My fingers crackled with raw power, and my breath caught as I stared at my own glowing hand.

“You don’t get to talk to her like that,” I growled.

My voice wasn’t entirely mine anymore.

“You marked her, flaunt other women in her face, and treat her like a slave. It’s vile. It’s disgusting. Men like you don’t deserve a mate—let alone power. The Moon Goddess giving you the right to claim multiple mates was the biggest mistake she ever made.”

Soft gasps rippled through the growing crowd.

Noah’s eyes flashed yellow. His growl was deep, animalistic.

“I don’t care who your mate is,” he snarled. “You don’t speak to me that way.”

His wolf surged forward—and Gavin answered instantly.

“Stand down,” Gavin growled, stepping in front of me, his own wolf clawing at the surface. He was more beast than man now, every inch of him radiating warning.

My heart pounded violently, but something inside me refused to retreat.

Even Noah wasn’t stupid enough to challenge Gavin like this.

“I might not be able to touch her,” Noah said, backing up slowly, hands raised in mock surrender. “But Daisy?” His smile twisted. “I can do whatever the fuck I want to her.”

    Daisy screamed.

The sound was sharp enough to tear through the air—and through me.

She collapsed to the ground, her body twisting unnaturally as she curled in on herself, arms wrapped tight as if that alone could keep her from breaking apart. Tears streamed down her face.

Noah watched her with clear amusement.

    That’s when I saw it.

The mark on the back of her neck glowed a violent red, throbbing as if it were alive.

He was hurting her—through the mate bond.

The thought hit me with crystal clarity.

I need to break that bond.

    “Trust us,” my magic whispered.

    My vision went dark.

    I lunged forward.

I shoved past Gavin, nearly knocking him off balance, and crossed the distance in seconds. My hands shifted mid-motion—bones cracking, fingers lengthening into claws.

    Then—

    Warmth.

    Blood.

My claws tore through the delicate skin at the nape of Daisy’s neck.

    She screamed.

Someone shouted my name behind me, but I couldn’t tell who.

Daisy screamed again—this time in pure horror.

Blood slid down my fingers, slick and hot. My entire body shook as reality crashed back in.

Gavin’s hand closed around my shoulder, firm but careful, grounding without pain.

    Then Noah cried out.

    “Fuck—!”

I blinked hard, my vision clearing as I turned toward him. He was clutching his chest, face twisted in agony.

    Daisy whimpered.

When I looked back at her, she wasn’t holding her neck.

She was gripping her chest too.

My breath hitched as I stared at the wound.

At what I had actually torn away.

    The mark was gone.

I had scratched it off her skin.
