Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 906

    Judy’s POV

“You’re out of your damn mind if you think I’m going to let my pregnant mate step into a death match with a lunatic,” Gavin snapped, his eyes blazing as his wolf surged forward beneath his skin.

“Gavin, this is the only way I can prove myself,” I said, forcing my voice to stay steady. “If I can protect myself and our pup—if I can defend against Lila and win—then it proves I’m strong enough to be Luna.”

I didn’t tell him the truth.
I didn’t tell him that the magic inside me had spoken, urging me to accept the challenge—promising it would protect both me and the baby.

“And you think putting our child at risk is acceptable?” he demanded, shaking his head. “I’m not standing by and letting that happen.”

He yanked open the limo door. We were already outside the party. The moment I’d accepted Lila’s challenge, we’d left—or rather, Gavin had dragged us out.

Erik was waiting by the curb, which told me Gavin had contacted him before we even stepped outside.

“Get in the limo,” Gavin ordered, his eyes hard.

Irene and Nan were already seated inside. Gavin and I lingered outside, arguing in low voices, away from their ears. A vein stood out on his neck—the one that only appeared when his anger was pushed too far. Guilt twisted in my chest. I hated that I was the reason it was there.

    I wished I could explain.
Wished I could make him understand that the magic swirling inside me wasn’t just power—it was aware. Protective. Certain.

But how do you explain that without sounding insane?

“We’ll talk about this at home,” he said sharply. “Now get in the limo.”

I opened my mouth to argue again—then froze.

    Daisy.

She stood just around the corner of the entrance, naked, her arms wrapped tightly around herself. The tray of drinks was gone. Goosebumps covered her pale skin, and she looked like she might shatter at any moment.

    She was freezing. Humiliated. Terrified.

And standing directly in front of her was Noah.

He loomed over her, glaring. Daisy’s head was bowed, her bottom lip trembling as he spoke to her in a voice I couldn’t hear. Then, without warning, he grabbed her arm.

She whimpered. Tears welled in her eyes.

“Judy, we need to leave,” Gavin said, trying to pull my attention back.

But my feet were already moving.

“Judy!” Gavin shouted behind me, his fury spilling over.

“Why is she still standing here?” Noah sneered. “You didn’t serve her the drink. Because of you, she’s going to challenge my—”

    He didn’t finish.

I grabbed his arm and yanked it away from Daisy.

The strength behind the movement startled even me. Noah stumbled back, surprise flashing across his face—and something inside me surged, sharp and powerful.

“Don’t touch her,” I said, pointing at him.

    Power crackled along my finger.

    Noah’s eyes widened.

“I don’t know who you think you are,” I continued coldly, “but your father’s status doesn’t give you the right to treat women like garbage.”

“This doesn’t concern you,” he hissed, his gaze locked on the crackling energy. “It’s between Daisy and me.”

“I don’t think Daisy wants to be spoken to like that,” I said, lowering my hand slightly. “Do you?”

    I turned to her.

She swallowed hard, flicked a glance at Noah, and seemed to shrink into herself.

“Maybe… maybe we should talk somewhere else,” she whispered.

“Judy.” Gavin’s voice was suddenly right behind me. I startled.

“Noah is abusing his power,” I said quickly, turning to Gavin. “He’s forcing Daisy to do things against her will. I can’t just stand here and watch that happen. Look at her—she’s naked, serving drinks, while he flaunts another woman in front of her. It’s cruel.”

“This is not our concern,” Gavin said firmly, stepping closer and lowering his voice. I noticed people beginning to watch—but I didn’t care.

“You are my priority,” he continued. “My family is my priority. Don’t make me drag you away kicking and screaming—because I will.”

    I knew he meant it.

“Gavin,” I said softly, meeting his eyes, “I love you. But I am not fragile. I trained my entire life to protect others, and that doesn’t stop just because I’m pregnant.”

I placed a hand over my stomach.

“I know what I can handle. I know what we can handle. My wolf would never let anything happen to her pup—no matter what. You need to trust her.”

I lifted my gaze back to him.

“And you need to trust the magic inside of me.”
