Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 899

“It wouldn’t be under Judy’s name,” Irene said, stepping beside me. “It would be under mine or Nan’s. We’re the ones who were invited. Irene Landry.”

The bouncer lifted his gaze to Irene, his eyes narrowing as his frown deepened. “Irene Landry?” he asked slowly. “Do you have any kind of ID?”

Irene looked genuinely taken aback. Her brows knit together.
“My ID?” she repeated. “I don’t have my purse on me, but that shouldn’t matter. I’m Irene Landry. I never need my ID.”

“If you don’t have ID, you can’t enter,” the bouncer said, folding his arms across his chest.

    Irene’s cheeks flushed.
“Look, I don’t know who you think you are, but you can’t talk to me like that,” she snapped. “I’m a Landry. My father could end your career.”

“Nice try,” he replied flatly. “The Landrys don’t attend parties outside their territory. Gavin Landry would never allow his precious daughter to travel this far from the Silver Crescent Pack. It’s unheard of.”

“Are you kidding me?” Irene shot back. “I was literally invited. Check the list. My name should be there.”

“It is,” he said, unmoved. “But it was never confirmed. For all I know, you found out Irene Landry was invited and decided to pose as her.”

“Are you serious?” Nan demanded, stepping forward and crossing her arms. “I’m on that list too. Nan Rugby.”

He glanced down at the list, then back at her.
“Nan Rugby didn’t RSVP either. Do you have ID to prove you’re her?”

“I left my things in the limo,” Nan said, rolling her eyes. “I don’t know how far Erik’s gotten.”

She turned to look at me.

“You’re making a big mistake,” I told the bouncer. “I’m engaged to Gavin. You’re denying us entry?”

“Yeah, and I’m the king of the world,” he laughed, his eyes trailing over my body. “Trust me, I know Alpha Gavin Landry. And if I wasn’t convinced before, I am now. You girls are trying to play me for a fool. There’s no way Alpha Landry would go for someone like… you.”

His gaze dropped to my belly, and heat rushed to my face.

“What is that supposed to mean?” Nan asked sharply, stepping closer as if ready to fight, but Irene lifted her hand to stop her.

“It means I’ve seen the women Alpha Landry is usually with,” the bouncer said, his eyes flicking to my stomach again, his scowl deepening. “They’re stunning. And thin. Not someone so… round.”

    My jaw nearly dropped.

“I’m pregnant, you jerk,” I said through clenched teeth. “Say one more thing about my body and see what happens.”

“That’s it,” he said coldly. “Ladies, I’m going to have to ask you to leave. If you can’t prove who you are, I’ll assume you’re lying. No ID, no entry. You haven’t even shown me the invitation.”

The invitations were on Irene’s and Nan’s phones—phones neither of them had. We hadn’t thought we’d need any of this. When we went out together back home, everyone knew who we were by now.

We didn’t often travel into neutral territory, but still—I had never seen this man before. How could he not at least recognize Irene, who’d been featured in countless magazines?

I glanced around, searching for a familiar face. A few people from the pack were nearby, clearly watching the exchange. None of them stepped in. They turned their noses up and pretended not to see us.

Clearly, they were siding with Lila. This was their way of showing disrespect toward their future Luna.

“Come on,” Irene said quietly, grabbing my arm and pulling me away from the entrance. “I don’t want to cause a scene. It’ll look bad.”

I followed her through the crowd, my hands clenched at my sides.

“So what’s the plan?” Nan asked, shaking her head. “Have Gavin call Erik and make him come back?”

“No,” Irene replied a little too quickly. “We don’t need him to return. My father will sort this out and—”

“I’ll sort what out?” Gavin’s voice cut in as he walked toward us. “What happened?”

He placed a hand on the small of my back.

“That bouncer wouldn’t let us in without ID,” Irene said, folding her arms. “Nan and I left our things in the limo.”

“Wait—what?” Gavin asked, his eyes snapping toward the front entrance.

By now, the line had thinned. Most guests were already inside, and the rest had been turned away for not being invited.
