Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 892
They turned their attention to the car pushing its way through the crowd.
“Judy is nothing but a liar!” Lila shouted, her eyes locking onto the vehicle with a deadly glare. “She’s an imposter. She claims she’s the heiress of the Blackwell family, but that’s a lie. I’m the only heiress the Blackwells recognize, and my brothers will back me up!”
That was when I noticed her brothers—Noah and Emmet—standing behind her, arms crossed over their chests. Noah looked like he’d rather be anywhere else, but he was still there, silently supporting his sister, ready to fight her battles.
He was undeniably handsome, but just as Daisy had described—hard-eyed and mean. A wave of pity washed over me at the thought of Daisy being tied to someone like him. I needed to help her too.
I just didn’t know where to start.
“Judy Montague is a nobody orphan and doesn’t deserve to be our Luna!” Olivia shouted.
Gavin growled, the sound low and vicious, sending a chill straight down my spine.
“Stop the car,” he ordered Taylor through clenched teeth.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Taylor warned.
“Taylor,” Gavin shot back, his tone edged with threat.
Taylor sighed and pulled the car to a stop, shifting it into park. Before I could fully process what was happening, Gavin was already out of the car, striding toward the crowd gathered at the gates.
“Get off my property before I turn every one of you into rogues,” Gavin growled, making several of them flinch. “If you ever come here again and disrespect my family, I’ll make sure none of you see tomorrow.”
“We only want what’s best for the pack!” someone shouted from the crowd. “We have a right to decide if we want Judy as our Luna, and we don’t. We think Lila would be a better fit!”
“She’s the Blackwell heiress!” another voice chimed in. “She’s the best choice—and the only one we trust!”
“If you truly believe this woman is telling you the truth,” Gavin said coldly, his gaze cutting through them, “then that says a lot about you—and about the pack I’ve created. And it means I’ve failed you.” His eyes hardened. “Now get off my property before I send my warriors after you.”
They didn’t wait to see if he was bluffing. One by one, they backed away, murmuring among themselves as they dispersed. Only Lila and Olivia remained, along with Olivia’s closest friends.
“You’re making a mistake, Alpha Landry,” Lila said, narrowing her eyes. “We had a real connection once. You trusted me—”
“And you broke that trust by lying about who you are,” Gavin cut in sharply. “You lost every right to me the moment you did.”
“You can’t trust her, Gavin!” Lila insisted. “She’s not who she claims to be. She’s dangerous—a psychopath pretending to be me. I’m the true heiress!”
“Keep talking,” Gavin growled, “and see what happens.”
Then he turned on his heel and stormed back to the car.
He climbed inside and pulled me straight into his arms, as if none of it had shaken him. My body, however, trembled from everything I’d heard. Taylor resumed driving, and we didn’t stop again until we reached the front door of the villa.
The moment we stepped inside, Irene and Matt rushed down the stairs.
“What’s going on out there?” Irene asked anxiously. “They won’t let us leave.” She tried to glance outside just as Adam shut the door firmly.
“There’s a protest,” Gavin said calmly. “Pack a small bag—both of you. We’re going to Judy’s parents’ house for a few nights.”
“What?” they said in unison, exchanging shocked looks. “Why?”
“Because it’s not safe here,” Gavin replied. “They’ll come back, and I won’t risk what they might do. For once, do as you’re told and pack light.”
They hesitated only a second before nodding and heading upstairs.
I let out a shaky breath and turned to Gavin.
“If we’re going to my parents’ house,” I said quietly, “then I have to tell them everything. I can’t keep them in the dark anymore.”
He nodded and placed his hands on my shoulders, steadying me as he met my eyes.
“Then we’ll tell them together,” he said firmly. “It’ll be okay.”
I nodded back, holding his gaze. And for the first time since landing, I felt myself relax—because deep down, I believed him.
