Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 890
There was a lot to unpack—but we didn’t have time for it.
Chuck stood frozen, stunned by what had just happened. The magic that had wrapped around him, controlled his wolf, and forced his shift had clearly drained him. He looked hollowed out, barely present.
I glanced at the other gammas, all of them staring with wide eyes and open mouths. I cleared my throat sharply, snapping them back to reality, then nodded toward Chuck.
I didn’t need to give orders. This had already been discussed—planned for this exact scenario. Well… not all of it. None of us had expected what Judy had just done, or that she could control another person. But we had known one thing: Chuck wouldn’t go quietly.
After witnessing Judy’s power, Chuck and his men didn’t even try to resist. I wasn’t sure Chuck even realized he was being taken. My gammas had him restrained and lifted away before he could fully process what was happening.
Erik stayed back. I couldn’t blame him. He probably wanted Chuck dead as badly as I did. But we both knew killing him would spark a territorial war—and that was a risk we couldn’t afford.
Judy stood motionless, still staring at her hands as if they didn’t belong to her.
I walked over to her.
“Are you okay?” I asked gently, not wanting to startle her while she was lost in her thoughts.
She blinked a few times before looking up at me.
“Something weird happened,” she said, biting her lower lip.
I nodded.
“Yes. We all saw it,” I said. “Do you want to talk about it?”
“The magic,” she said, her brows knitting together. “It listened to me. I told it to do something… and it did.”
“That’s how it looked from my side too,” I replied. “How did you know it would work?”
She went quiet, and I felt the hesitation ripple through our bond. She was deciding whether to tell me the truth. I wasn’t going to let her dodge this—or lie.
I stepped in front of her so she couldn’t avoid my gaze.
She lifted her eyes, and the moment they met mine, they widened.
“Tell me the truth,” I said firmly. “How did you know that would work?”
She swallowed, then exhaled slowly.
“I heard a voice in my head.”
I blinked.
“You what?”
She rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
“I knew you’d think I was crazy. That’s why I didn’t say anything at first,” she said. “But I heard a voice—and I’m pretty sure it was the Moon Goddess.”
“The Moon Goddess spoke to you?” I asked, frowning slightly. Then I shook my head. “I don’t think you’re crazy. We already know you’re a high priestess. You were bound to hear her eventually.”
“Please don’t call me a high priestess,” she murmured. “I’m not even ready to be called a Luna.”
I raised my brows and placed my hands on her shoulders, steadying her.
“You’re going to be an incredible Luna,” I said softly. “You already are a great leader.”
“You really think so?”
I nodded and brushed my lips against the tip of her nose.
“I know so.”
She smiled—but before she could say anything, her phone rang. The sound pulled us apart. She sighed and reached into her pocket, answering the call as she turned away.
“Hey, Nan,” she said, already heading toward the car that would take us back to the airport.
I didn’t listen in. Instead, I pulled out my phone and texted Taylor.
Me: On our way back. We have Chuck.
Taylor: Good. Because we have a problem.
My chest tightened.
Me: What?
Taylor: The pack is protesting Judy outside your villa.
I froze.
My eyes snapped up to Judy just in time to see her hands drop to her sides, her shoulders sag, and her phone slip from her fingers.
I knew without a doubt—she’d just heard the same thing.
