Seducing My Ex’s Father In Law Chapter 862
I didn’t know much about Noah Blackwell, but like his father, he was a businessman. I knew he already controlled a massive portion of the Blackwell empire on his own, and it was only a matter of time before he officially took over the company.
Gavin once told me that he and Noah had been friends as children, but they drifted apart as they grew older. Then, after Gavin’s father stole the gem and the Blackwells went into deep hiding, their connection was completely severed.
Still, realizing that this man had been using Daisy to do his dirty work made my stomach churn.
“After I stole the gem and brought it back to the Blackwell family, Noah ignored me completely,” Daisy said. “He told me he wasn’t ready for me to move in yet and asked for some time. He said I needed to stay away for now so no one would see me…”
“He shut you out of his life?” I asked, my mouth falling open. noveldrama
“Lila found me crying and begging outside his door,” she continued, as if she hadn’t heard me at all. Her eyes looked distant, unfocused—lost in the past. I couldn’t blame her. She must have been carrying this pain every single day.
“She figured out pretty quickly that I was mated to Noah. That’s also when I found out he was living with another woman. That’s why I’ve been feeling the pain from his intimacy these past few days. He’s been sleeping with her. And then he told me he planned to mate with her.”
“I’m so sorry,” I whispered, brushing away a tear that slipped down my cheek.
“Anyway,” Daisy went on, “Lila knew I was a scorned woman, crying over her brother. She saw my mating mark and recognized it—it wasn’t the first time Noah had done something this stupid. At the same time, I caught her holding the Moon Gem and a bunch of other items, like she was about to cast a spell or something. To change the subject, she told me about Noah’s girlfriend. I ran off after that. Later, I confronted Noah.”
“I asked him to meet me at our spot, and he did. I asked him about the girlfriend, and he admitted it without hesitation—like it was nothing.”
She paused, taking a moment to steady herself.
“He told me he was never going to break our bond, no matter what. He said I’d better get used to his girlfriend being around. He was still going to use me whenever he wanted, just like the others he’d mated in the past. He was just adding her to the collection—but I was still his favorite.”
As she repeated his words, angry tears spilled down her cheeks. She wiped them away almost violently.
“I hate that I’m crying right now,” she said, letting out one of her hollow, humorless laughs. “I told myself I wouldn’t break down, and here I am… crying my eyes out because I’ve been used and abused by my mate. It’s pathetic.”
“It’s not pathetic,” I said immediately, stepping closer to the gate between us. “You’re allowed to feel everything you’re feeling, Daisy. This monster took something from you that you can never get back. He’s cruel, and I’m so sorry this happened to you.”
She sniffed, then gave me a small, fragile smile, lifting one shoulder slightly.
